Has anyone bought this person/scooter rain poncho?

I have that exact one and found that it took a bit of moving it around to fit me - I'm short but fluffy as well. I ended up putting one of my disposable rain ponchos over the entire seat and just had this one on me and the steering handles (with an extra disposable one on the steering handles. I bring so many disposable ponchos and end up throwing them out when they get used and using another - I bought those in bulk on amazon also.

It seems to fit front to back. Well just guessing, had him sit in a porch chair and put his rollator in front of him and it covers pretty good as far as the back of seat or the front. It's the sides that are so short. I mentioned to him, he may need to wear a poncho under this one. In April we had one on him, one on the seat, one on the controls.

Wheelchair ponchos usually are shorter on the sides to prevent the poncho from getting caught in the wheels

The pictures shows being used with a scooter. If my DH was sitting in a wheelchair, I doubt the sides would reach the arms of the chair

I went back and looked up more reviews. Several others have said it was short also. I really was buying it based on picture. I was more concerned of him tripping on the sides. Don't have that worry now . 🤣

The link wouldn’t open for me, so I couldn’t see.
Based on what you wrote, guess it won’t trip him - LOL

Sorry about the link. My lack of computer skills is amazing.
Here’s some quick info on how to do links here on the DIS 🙂

Let’s say you want to do a link like this one:

Amazon has it!

Here’s how:

You know this window - so it’s not scary at all 🤣
FACFE268-116D-47AC-9659-34A24C0828D4.jpeg
Now, type your sentence:
29E84FDA-01E8-4AC7-B8CF-CC5E5298F357.jpeg
1. Your sentence
2: This is the “link” widget we will use in just a moment!

The first thing we need to do is “highlight” the word Amazon in that sentence, so that we can make it into a clickable link.

Now, you need to copy the address for the page you want to link to, to your clipboard. First, we go to the page:

B298A901-26F9-4394-8BA0-2391F8CFB84B.jpeg

And then we will copy this address (that is the same address as in the red box in the image above. I clicked on the link so that it would show me the whole address. We have to have the whole address, including the https:// part to make the link work)

AF4FB3CD-1A3C-4C0F-8233-F439F20C7E73.jpeg

Now that we have copied the address of the page we want to share, let’s go back to our DISBoards post.

1. That link widget. As you can see, when you click on it, a new little window opens!
2. Now we will paste the address of the web page into the URL box that is empty. This helps us make the clickable link when we are done.
3. You can see that because we highlighted the word “Amazon” in our sentence, when we opened the link window, that same text appears already filled in for us!

Once you have filled in the URL box with the address you copied for the page you want to share, then just click on the word “Insert” in the lower right corner of the link widget window.

Keep going - you are doing great!

5F64B685-C914-4B75-8A3E-4E3F3495BD84.jpeg
Now we see that
1. the link widget has closed back up.
2. The word “Amazon” is still highlighted.
3. There is another weird little box. Ignore that, because we have just 2 more things to do! (It will disappear when you start typing, or doing anything else)

DF26313E-554E-4EDC-AFBD-4FD304F4329C.jpeg

1. This is the “expander” symbol. You will see it in a couple of places all along the formatting bar (1A) when you are editing a post.
2. B = BOLD text
3. U = Underlined text
4. If you use both BOLD and Underlined on your link, it will be easier for others to find and click on, and it will look like this. If you want to apply those “styles” to your text, you have to make sure it is still highlighted, like in the picture below.

Now… this (below) is how your link will look - and work!

Amazon has it!

Hope that was helpful! 🙂

Mamabunny, thank you. Laugh if you want, (we need more laughter in our lives), I'll need to print this out, so I can do tiny baby step at a time.

Did I mention back in the day when it was "FAST PASS DAY", my DD would get into my account to pick them for me? I'd get so frazzled I'd be afraid messing up.

I like the suggestion for bonding and or underlining.

Amazon amazingly large wheelchair poncho

For Amazon links, I like to do it a little differently. First, find the Amazon item you want to link to and highlight and copy the entire top menu line. I don’t know about laptops, but on tablets, you may see a link area like this.
1A9F54CD-DA55-4186-99B2-07984664F993.jpeg

I copy the link, then go to the link menu on my post (looks like a chain), then paste the Information into the top line. After that, I type what I want the link the reader taps on to say.

Finally, when I’m done, hit INSERT

Thank you.

Now unless that person in the picture is 27 pounds and 3 ft nothing. No way the poucho I got will fit the way it's shown.

It’s a known problem with a *lot* of vendors on Amazon; often, if you look closely, you can see where they ”Photoshopped” the image they show for the product, or they may even use a photo of another product altogether.

Most laughable was when we saw a kiddy pool (like the old school, round plastic kiddy pools) depicted as holding full size adults with water to their waists! The measurements that were shown were correct, and identical to a very similar pool being sold locally at WalMart. But the humans shown in the pool had clearly been added afterwards.

I recommend when shopping on Amazon to always do a couple of things:
First of all, read the reviews - and don’t just read them as presented; sort them so you see the most recent first, then sort them so you see the OLDEST reviews first. Often unscruplous vendors will replace the item/description, but keep the reviews from older items to “pad” the review count on the item so that it will appear to be more popular than it actually is.

If you use “filters” when searching, don’t use the “featured” filter to view the results - go toward the bottom and pick “Average Customer Review”. At least that way, you see things ranked by overall reviews versus what the Amazon algorithm wants you to see.
