Has anyone bought the Touring Plans on touringplans.com for $6.95?

jennyf10, how about this:

Sunday, July 3
Park opens at 9 am. (Check with Disney the night before - the park may open early because of the holiday.)

Dumbo
Pan
Pooh (FASTPASS if wait exceeds 30 mins)
Mad Tea Party
Snow White
Small World
PhilharMagic

If any time remains before your 11:30 am ADR at CP, Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Pirates are probably the closest.

Wednesday, July 6
Park opens at 8 am

Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear (twice if desired)
Stitch (it's not that great of an attraction, so feel free to skip it)
Splash
Big Thunder
Pirates (if you've not already done so)
Magic Carpets (if you've not already done so)
Haunted Mansion

You should have some spare time between the end of this and your 2 pm ADR at CRT.

How's that look?

Len, I've got to say, you are tooo cool! :cool1: Now I won't be so stressed out worrying if my plan will get us all stuck in a bottleneck somewhere! If you'd like I can reply back after my trip to let you know how it went. And hopefully I can get my children on some roller coasters while I'm there. 21 days and counting!

As afternoon MK Disney parades go, it's okay, but not the best. That title, I think, belongs to the "Remember the Magic" parade they had back in '97, for the 25th anniversary.

Is it still the parade with the giant snow globes? I have to say I love that parade :0)

I too am a big believer in the UG - and buy the new version before evey trip... I always get told off at the airport for my hand luggage being too heavy, the reason? It has my UG in it so I can read it again (for the 33rd time) on the plane to make sure I didn't miss anything! lol

After reading this thread I'm not off to find my CC to pay over my $6.95 for more secrets :0)

:cheer2:

Well, I must say, since we considered spending the $20 each for custom plans in January, spending $6.95 for plans for October (where the crowds seem to increase with each new adjustment) is a no-brainer!

I'm not sure if any of the plans will be 100% what we need, but I want to give the MK w/ Boys 4-8 a look. DS will be close to 10 by the time we go, but it might still be useful. I tend to be a bit of a park commando so maybe it will help me slow down. Right now I am planning 2 FULL days at MK, the EMH morning until it gets crowded, and one MNSSHP. I can't imagine that with what equals almost 3 full days we will miss much if we use the plans.

And for what it's worth, we won't be stopping in to see Stitch again! Even though it was a walk-on in January we could have spent that time somewhere else - won't make that mistake twice!

Jennyf10, MNSSHP = Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Here's a link to the schedule from wdwinfo.com. And yes, please let me know how the plans work.

jackskellingtonsgirl, I'm working on a two-day version of that plan, and should have it posted to our website later today. We usually announce previews like these in the "Sneak Peaks" section in the lower right corner of our home page. We didn't include Stitch in any of our touring plans this year, FWIW.

rosiejo, thanks for reading the book!

bianca66, I agree with Greg K (and thanks, Greg) about the afternoon parade. It's okay, but the evening parade is much better.

Well, Len your customized plan for arriving at the MK at 12:00 was blown instantly out of the water when we arrived promptly at 3:30.

So, as we watched the last of the parade floats disappear behind the fire station, and the crowds start heading back up Main Street to the rest of the park, we wondered what to do.

Then we said %$&# it and headed straight for fantasyland. Luckily a huge part of the crowd also said %$&# and left the park, since it was pouring down rain. I'm talking like torrential. So Mickey's Philharmagic was about a 20 minute wait, followed by It's a Small World, a 10 minute wait. Then to Toontown for a swing through Minnie's, an audience with both Cindy and Snow White, shopping, back to Pooh w/ the FP we had picked up, then to Columbia House for dinner, followed by more shopping, jockeying for position for the parade, and a bus ride back to the Dolphin.

All in all a pretty good day, even though we destroyed the touringplan by napping before we even left for the park. But the tips and strategies in the UOG served us well nonetheless.

Well re-thinking my 4th of July week plans due to hearing lots of crowded eveing magic hour horror stories (my plan was hit the eve mh park all day and night) Please tell me what you think of this instead . 7/3 Epcot (maybe hop to MK for eve hours?) 7/4 Waterpark day - HDDR for dinner maybe EWPP . 7/5 Magic Kingdom (Crystal Palace 8am Breakfast) . 7/6 MGM Fantasmic pkg 6pm HW&V . 7/7 Animal Kingdom (Donald's Breakfast 8am) Illuminations Cruise with fellow Dis members then maybe hop into Epcot for eveing hours ? How does that sound ?? Thanks Michelle

Hi Len,

Here's how it worked: GREAT!! On Sunday morning we rode all of the rides you had listed, including Pirates and Magic Carpets and did not need a Fastpass for anything. On Wednesday, we did all of what you suggested (except Pirates and Magic Carpets since we did that on Sunday) as well as Peter Pan again (using Fastpass), Mickey's PhilHarmagic, the Caroussel, the teacups, Goofy's Barnstormer, saw Pluto at ToonTown fair and got his autograph, shopped, saw the show at Hall of Presidents and got to CRT early for our 2:00 ADR. It was fantastic! Thanks so much for the personalized help. Incidentally, we were at the parks 1/2 hour before opening each day and never waited more than 10 minutes for any ride at any park the entire 4th of July week! One exception - we waited about 20 minutes at Epcot to ride Mission:Space for the third(!) time because we didn't want to wait for the Fastpass return time.

Thanks,
Jenny
