Has anyone bought a 14 Day ultimate Ticket?

Can anyone who has bought a 14 day ticket please let me know if there's an expiration date on the ticket. I have been assured by the people at Disney that these tickets do not expire until 14 days after they've been activated, but on the Themepark-tickets.com web site it says that the tickets are only valid till 31/12/06. Does anyone know?

Hi there. Just checked the 14 day ultimate tickets we used on our trip one month ago. (they are waiting to go in my daughter's scrap book!) No sign of any expiry date at all.

The reason they say that is because ticket prices go up in January usually so they probably figure they can charge more for people that are going next year. Can't remember what site it was but I saw the other day one place that was actually charging more already for the 14-day ultimate for next year (could be wrong but it may have been VH or Airtours)v

Actually ALL the ticket sellers seem to say that the ultimate is due for expiry at the end of the year, but I'm sure that I've bought one before prior to xmas for use the following year, I think as Joh says its to ensure you use it that given year so they can charge you more for the next years ticket.
I paid £166 for my ultimate 14 day last year and have got it for £158 this year, I've seen some prices as high as £190!!
I can't see any way of it expiring and to be honest you could probably take it to guest services and get it exchanged if it did (they can see by swiping it that it hadn't ever been used)

I agree - it's just to make sure they can up the charges each year - it expires 14 days after you activate it. I have actually seen sites that are nice enough to tell you in December that you can buy tickets at that year's prices even if it's for next year's travel, to make sure you don't get hit by a price rise, as long as you pay in full.
