Has anyone booked with AKV points?

I'm talking about a Sept. ressie at a non AKV resort. We are within the 7 month window. I e-mailed MS asking if I can do that, and I was told to ask my guide, that they have the most up to the minute information. I have left a message with my guide, but thought I would ask here.

I just got the answer. DVC called me, I had a message into my guide. Yes, subject to the 7 month window, we can use AKV points to book non-AKV vacations. So, the honeymoon that I'm trying to put together is in Sept. so as soon as my friend confirms it, I can book it. We do not have to wait until the date to book AKV ressies, we can book now if 7 months out using AKV points at non AKV resorts.
