Hi

We just received a quote from Dreams Unlimited, because of the increase in the exchange rate it works out to be £200 cheaper booking it through Dreams.

Has anyone else used dreams?

Yep we go on a cruise this oct and next oct with them. They were cheaper than any UK TA and very easy to contact via E Mail. We use Sue Ellen.

Hi

My agent will be Samantha Bryne I was surprised that it worked out cheaper but only bercause of the exchange rate. :thumbsup2

I have a 15 day trip with te free dining with Dreams, my agent is Dorothy Bond and they are great. They book your adrs for you as well.

Do Dreams do flights as well or that a separate thing?

I've used DU and got fantastic service. My agent was really helpful :)

No, DU only do rooms and packages, but not just Disney hotels. They do other Orlando hotels too.
You need to book the flight separately, either flight only or a flydrive.

Thanks for the prompt response - I have alwasy booked packages by UK TAs in the past but really beginning to think doing it independently is better and cheaper.

Hi

It has worked out cheaper for us in the past and it also means we get to stay on site. :teeth:

I have heard Disney will be charging for thier Magical Express service? Is this true? It was free last year. Also does anyone know how much?

I was on the phone to Disney UK yesterday to get a quote and was told that Disney express was included free.

Oh so I wonder where I heard that from then. I heard they were intending to charge. I hope it still is free.

When are you going Wideeyes?

Do whatever works out best for you.

Now that so many people have access to the internet (and so many businesses advertise and quote over the internet) a "whole new world" has really opened up: there is a lot more "competition" for your momey out there :).

Remember that if you are looking at prices - quoted in dollars by companies like Dreams - in relation to exchange rate now, the true cost will only be visible when you pay the balance (assuming you are only paying a deposit now and the balance in a few months time). So if the exchange rate drops, your price in pounds goes up. Doubt it will drop THAT unfavourably, but it is worth bearing in mind... (of course, the exchange rate could always go up - in which case you are better off :) ).

Have just bought a couple of ski passes (Colorado, not Disney!) for our trip in January... got them $100 a cheaper because they were purchased before 14th August (then the price rises) AND paid in full (so got them at a very good exchange rate). So sometimes things work out well paying in dollars :) (and booking independently...)

Does anyone have the phone number for Disney UK please?

Also is that the number you would use to book Dreams Unlimited?

Hi

Dreams unlimited is not disney uk. They are seperate companies.

here is the link and you can ask them for a quote via online or the number is
1-888-374-0494

Disney uk is 0870 2424900

Hope this helps.

Having booked with Disney UK and Dreams Unlimited I have to say I would NEVER book with Disney UK again. I never seem to get CM's who give me the same answer to anything and it was just getting way too frustrating. And they weren't so friendly either.

Dreams Unlimited are brilliant, helpful and so efficient and friendly. And they don't cost more than booking direct with Disney. Ask for Rhonda, she's fab!

we are going October 2007 and I can not wait :yay:
My parents are going in a few weeks so dd has been asking when we can go, she has watched the planning dvds and looked at all the brochures.

We booked our Feb 2006 cruise indepedently using Dreams Unlimited - we were more than happy with the price and the savings .........it was all 'plain sailing' :thumbsup2

It added to our confidence that we could access our reservation on the official Disney Cruise Line, so you can see it is all above board etc.

I would not hesitate to recommend them and we would be more than happy to use them again for our planned 2008 cruise. They do a great job.

Wow you will be there for halloween celebrations. Make sure you go and see MNSSHP its great and the kids will love it. The firework display was worth the money alone. Its great. Next yr we will be going to Mickeys christmas party. I love October its the best time to go in my opinion.

Just wanted to add, we booked our disney cruise through Dreams Unlimited. Absolutely great, lowest price, fab friendly service and the cruise documentation arrived in good time. Also, they always replied to my email queries promptly (which is more than can be said for some companies!!)
