Our local scrapbook store is offering this in March and I am wondering if I want to sign up. Here's the link:

I am currently taking classes there on thursday mornings and those are on tuesday. Would I go into overload?? :)

Yes, I have taken the entire series of SDU plus the two masters classes. I was already an experienced scrapper, but it was a lot of fun, and I learned a lot. The projects are all in a packet, and preplanned withthe parts all cut to size, punched, or whatever, and the scrapbook store offering the classes usually has a toolkit for each participant to use with everything you need in it. It would have been GREAT for a beginner, but I loved it anyway and can't wait for more masters classes.

I also have graduated and done 2 masters classes. I learned a lot and did enjoy it.

Jill,

Where is SDU offered? I was interested in taking the course, but I'm pretty far from a store. TIA!

I did the classes too. Have not taken the master's classes yet though. I really did enjoy the classes. They were very informative.

weloveMickey - the classes I am talking about are held at A Time For Memories in Grafton.

I took these classes (but not the masters ones) all in one day on Superbowl Sunday 2004. While I got some useful information from them, they really are geared to a scrapping newbie. Their focus is on design principles and basic embellishments (like how to ground stickers). While I enjoyed myself (as I do whenever I spend quality time in my LSS with fellow scrappers), the series of classes moved slowly for me and I didn't love the projects. Also since SDU was designed by EK Success, all of the tools you use in the class (besides the class kit you bring) will be EK success tools - which you may or may not like (I'm thinking of the circle cutter that I couldn't get to cut an even circle)
Basically - I guess I did not get enough out of them to justify the $125 cost and 9 hours of my time (I could have been scrapping & spending at my LSS instead!)
