Has Anyone been to Niagra falls lately? Recommendations?

Does the Embassy Suites shuttle cost any extra if you're staying at the hotel or is it included? Which floor did you stay on? After your recommendation I checked out their website & the prices aren't bad for the time we're going-especially since it includes their breakfast. How many days would you recommend staying there?

One more question--Niagara on the Lake looks so pretty but it seems like a couples area, was it okay taking kids there?

We'll be there next month, and plan to do Maid of the Mist, but the whirlpool jet boats look fun. My daughter (7 y.o.) is thrill shy, though. As a frame of reference--she tried Big Thunder Mountain Railroad one time and hated it. The whirlpool jet boats would not be worth it for us if they scare our daughter--anyone who has ridden them with a thrill shy kid?
