I was wondering if anyone has stayed at HH in Feb. If so how was it. I know weather changes from year to year, but how has it been if anyone was there. Also are alot of restaurants closed during Feb. or do they still stay open for locals. Any help would be appreciated. We would only be there for three nites on our way back from Disney. If not I will be staying in Disney for the extra nites. I will have to pay cash at either place. I am paying 176 for a studio at HH, not sure about Disney but know it will be much more. Any help would be appreciated.

February can be chilly at HH (it certainly was in 2010), but there is still plenty to do and the weather may be entirely different this winter. Typically, temps will be in the 50's and 60's depending on when in Feb you will be there. There will be lots of dining options and many of the restaurants will offer early dining specials.

February is a great time to be at HH. Enjoy!

We were at HHI a few years ago in February, and Doc's right about the weather. It was cold, rainy, windy, miserable all week. Did we enjoy ourselves? Of course, we loved our vacation! It was so much fun to curl up in Big Murgie's Den in front of the fireplace, enjoying some warm apple cider and cranberry nut cookies. And Doc mentioned the resturaunts-no lines!

Well I live in GA not far from HH. I wouldn't plan on going to the beach, count on 50s-60s depending on when in Feb, but on the upside it will probably be sunny ( have more sunny days then not at least IMO). March you could possibly get lucky, I have been on the beach in March-towards the end at least. You would also have Savannah, GA just a quick 45 min drive away, lots to see and do there as well.

p.s. if you do go, make sure to eat at the Sea Shack-it's just that, a shack but really good.

Forgot to add this- Most restaurants will be open, golf is very popular there, which tends to be year round. If you're not dead set on staying at a disney property then you may want to check out some of the wonderful B&B's in Savannah or you should be able to find a cheaper just as nice resort somewhere else on the island, since that is an off time.

You mean, you really think there's a nicer resort to stay at on HHI? Shame on you!;)
One advantage of the Sea Shack in February-no wait! It seems there's always a wait at the Sea Shack other times. We go to HHI every Thanksgiving and enjoy that we can get into resturaunts without a wait- that is, all except at the Sea Shack.

We were there in Oct and went to the Sea Shack and loved it. We only waited a few minutes. We fell in love with HH and the Disney resort. We may stay there a few days or else just extend Disney. Thanks for all the help.

I just noticed that you said you're paying $176 for a studio at HHI. That's the rate you're paying in February? We're paying around $85 Member's Cash for a studio one night next week, and last year we paid under $130 for a nite in a 1 BR. You might double-check the MC rates. Last I remember, November and February were the same rates, so that sounds way too high.
