Has anyone been to Busch Gardens in August?

Just deciding on what tickets to get for next year. My son loves Busch Gardens but we have only been there in December when its empty. If we get the 5 park ticket its hardly any different to getting the 4 park one so thinking it may be worth going to. However if its going to be absolutely jam packed then not sure I can face it.
I was assuming that it would be better to go midweek than weekend. So any thoughts welcome.

I've been in August, it two years ago and midweek but queues were minimal and didn't feel too crowded

Also been in midweek during August before, not too busy!!

IMO Busch Gardens is the quietest major theme park in Orlando

We went in August this year. The park wasn't overly busy but the rides closed every time there was lightning in the area, which was a LOT. We only rode about 5 rides all day.

Been down last 2 Augusts, both times had to cut the day short for lightening in the area and missed out on some of the rides. I don't know if they get more lightening in the Tampa area or they are over cautious, I think they close rides if lightening is within 20 miles.
Still had great days and will be going again next August, we don't plan around weather but might be something to consider.
