Has anyone been on the new Lilo and Stitch ride?

What's it like.... I heard that the seating is the same as Alien Encounter. I was really wonderign what you'd rate this ride for someone who gets scared easily, doesn't "do" fast rides, and is clausterphobic. (i.e. Alien Encounter would NEVER have been thought of and Barnstormer was too fast) Is Stitch a safe ride?

If you are a Stitch fan you will probably enjoy it. if you are afraid of the dark maybe not so much. As in another post my DD 8 asked me when the ride would start when it was almost over.

We rode it on AP opening day Nov 5th and I was extremely disappointed...I thought it was really boring.

We managed to get on it when they were doing special previews for CM's on 3rd November. (We are not CMs we were just lucky they had some spare capacity).

There were quite a few children crying during and after the ride. I did not like Alien Encounter, and found this ride to be very little different. Slightly less scary maybe, but a great disappointment

We went on the Lilo and Stitch ride in early November and have to say, were quite disappointed. When we were led into the large room and the harnesses came down on top of us, we thought we were in for a thrill ride. However this was not the case. The harnesses were extremely hard and uncomfortable on your shoulders and my 7 yr old kept crouching lower so it wouldn't keep pressing down so hard. We left the ride with a puzzled look on our faces wondering if that was it or perhaps we would be led into another room. However that was pretty much the end of it. It is definitely not an attraction for the younger children due to the loud noises and darkness and some parents were taking their crying kids out, and unfortunately stepping on your toes as they went by, due to the darkness. It also was extremely loud and it was a good thing my son put his earplugs in before we got inside. I had heard the ride was set to premier on Nov 15th and thought perhaps that that was not the full attraction, only part of it. However upon reading other reviews, it sounds like it was the entire ride. Will pass next time..

Question: If the harness is down, how do the parents take their kids out... does the harness lift free?
Also: Is the ride safe for calusterphobics?

Not sure how they get their kids out because its too dark to see. However maybe if you press up hard enough it lifts. Not sure. I don't see the ride being a problem for claustrophobics because the seats are situated in staggered rows in a semi circle. Hope this helps. Have a great time!

The harness is not a tight fit. I am sure if i had wanted to I could have slipped out underneath it. The harness is just there to tap your shoulders as part of the ride. It really did not hold you in place.

As for tight spaces it should not be a problem, we were in a middle row and most of the action was 10 to 15 feet away.

If Alien Encounter was a no go then Stitch would be a no go. Same idea, darkness, being held down, a little action in front.. but Really a great big waste of time.. go on Buzz Lightyear instead.
