My wonderful husband has given me a Backstage Tour day for my birthaday.
Has anyone been on one? Did you enjoy it? Anything I should be prepared for?

I have been on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at MK. It was amazing! I felt like it really enhanced the magic to hear about all the details that go into making the park perfect. I also did the Segway tour (not a behind the scenes) which was a lot of fun. This next trip I am deciding between the AK behind the scenes tour and the full Backstage Magic tour. Just not sure if that one is too repetitive of the KTTK I already did.

BTW, allearsnet has great reviews of the tours if you want to read more about them. JJ

I've done Keys to the Kingdom, Backstage Magic and the Segway/WS (x2) I enjoyed all three and would do anyone of them again.

Backstage Magic was amazing. I did this back in April. You get to see the inner workings of both the parks and the other facilities that make WDW magical. The tour of the building where they were hold and make all the Christmas decorations for the parks, resorts and DCL was the highlight for me. It is a long day. Dress comfortably. They will bus you around from area to area. They had a cooler of water on the bus and lunch was at Mama Melrose in MGM. The Tour Guides really make it fun and are just full of Disney facts. Hubbie did alright with this gift.

I'm doing the Backstage Safari in September. I am looking forward to it. Especially after Bawb's review the other week.

Last year I went on KTTK at MK
This past Apr I did 3 EpCot tours solo - Gardens, FutureWorld and Countries - I actually had the FW tourguide to myself!
This Nov Im booked on the Dolphin encounter and the segway tours

We did the Backstage Magic tour as well and really had a good time. We learned so much. :goodvibes Mine was a present too! (There seem to be a lot of really good DHs around here.) We were told the tour would end in MGM rather than MK and made dinner plans for MGM so we could see Fantasmic! It turned out ok as our guide asked the bus driver to take us there and he did. Since this is an all day tour, I would recommend not doing a park afterwards unless you are really energetic. We had EMH so it was mostly worth it but it was our only MGM day and DH was pretty worn out so there are lots of things we didn't see. If I were to do it again, I'd have dinner in a resort or DTD and do DTD for the evening. La Nouba would be a good choice for the evening also.
