As a teacher we are tied to half term holidays, we went in August for our first visit and was overwhelmed with people but longer park hours made it manageable.
Just wondering what crowds would be like? Have checked French holidays and it seems they don't break up until 28th May so am thinking about going maybe Friday to Tuesday.
Any opinions gratefully received!

We went at half term this year and the crowds were very manageable - far less people than during the summer, Halloween or Christmas. Weather was pretty good too, only a bit of rain on the last day.

Agree with Steve. We went half term last year and it wasnt half as bad as we were thinking it would be.

What dates are you on midterm?
We are going May 19th - 23rd and I was told it was the preferred week to go in May as there didn't seem to be any holidays / midterms that week.
Saying that we went midterm one year and it wasn't too bad. Just be organised and do EMH and use fastpasses and you should still get loads done :thumbsup2

Hi we've been the last two May school holidays and hope to go again next year. It's now one of our favourite times to go, crowds are manageable and weather varied between warm and hot!

Thanks everyone.
Hoping to go around 23rd-27th of May, as I said August was a real eye opener for our first time and as much as we enjoyed it, we would like to try a different time of the year.
Think you have made my mind up. Thanks again x

I've been a couple of times during May half term, last one was in 2012 and it. Was busy but that was because the jubilee bank holidays.

I was there at the start of the May half term this year (on the Sat/Sun) and those days were a little crazy - I remember wandering through the hub about an hour before Dreams was due to start on the Saturday and it was completely packed with people waiting for Dreams! But this could also be the weekend effect - I would avoid weekends if at all possible (every time I have been at DLP over a weekend it has been packed...)

I went in May half-term a couple of years ago and it was so quiet compared to August - which funnily enough will always be my favourite time to go as I prefer the long evenings. The only thing I will point out is that Ascension Day is Thursday 29th which will hugely impact on the crowds but if you're planning on going Friday to Tuesday that shouldn't affect you at all.

I'm going in May next year also, but have never been before! We are going for 9 days and renting an apartment in marne la vallee as we have 4 kids we hope to be able to come and go as we please! And we will definitely be using EMH and fast pass!! Only 262

We were there from Fri - Tue at the beginning if half term and I agree it was v busy ( no French hols either) but we took advantage of EMH and did most on our wish list. Weather was hit and miss as well we had everything from torrential rain to hot sun.
