Has anyone been able to get VGC at 7 months ?

We are hoping for a 2 bedroom at VGC over spring break at the end of April in 2011. Does anyone know if this is possible or are we going to need some major pixie dust?

Just became a new member and got VGC for six nights over Veterans Day. MS said there was good availability in Nov. Not sure about April....

We got it a 2 bedroom at 7 months in mid June.

I think the early experience of those that have been able to book at 7 months will not continue as the resort sells out. You might have a couple of things going for you though - I think end of April is usually after the normal Spring Break push and you're looking for a 2BR, which is the most abundant room category at VGC.

Could be a tough one.

I got it a seven months out I called last July for this February 2010 and I got a studio for the entire week...although when I called on July 14 for my first day that day was not available...so I waitlisted...I called back on July 15 and was able to get the rest of the week...by time I got to Orlando on July 19th my waitlist for Feb 14, 2010 had come through

We were able to get a studio for 7 nights Oct 30 - Nov 6, but had to waitlist a few and would have preferred at 1 bedroom. The availability was spotty when we booked about a month ago. With only 48 total units - its kinda hard to imagine that its ever available!

I have a studio for 4 nights in October. I called at 7 months and got it - in fact I actually moved my reservation two times - I didn't know how hard it would be and while I knew I wanted Sat - Wed, I had several weeks when I could go in Sept and Oct. So I started with the first week in Sept - got it. Then waited until the first week in Oct I could go - got it. Then waited a week and finally got the week I preferred - Oct 16-20. Each time I called right at 7 months. So it didn't seem too difficult if you call right at 7 months.

Now you are looking for a 2 bedroom which actually might be easier as I think there are more of them and a different time of year, so your mileage may vary as they say. And I do agree that it will get harder after they sell out. But I think we are OK for bit longer, maybe even up to a year since it will probably take a bit for the new owners to plan their first vacations.

We booked a one bedroom at VGC for Jan. 23-30 around the 7 month window. But I know January is not a very popular time to go.
