Has anyone ate at Mickey's Backyard BBQ?

Sounds pretty fun. I made ADR's for my family of 5 in Oct. It seemed like a nice way to unwind and unlimited beer / wine instead of paying out the wazoo for it by the glass seemed nice. It will be our last night there so why not have some fun!

DH and I did this and we loved it. Get there early to get a good seat. Skip the photo session unless you absolutely want the photo. We wasted so much time there. The kids really got into it.

The food is just regular Bar-b-que stuff. We liked it just fine, but don't expect something exceptional. They have characters, line dancing, ect. It is fun for the kids. The only downside was we did it in August and the heat was unbearable. I will never, ever do it again when it is hot. You eat outside, and while there is a pavillion for shade I felt almost too hot to eat. We did not feel like it was worth the money, but we don't drink alcohol. It will be fun for your last night though!

I read many reviews on Allears before booking it about 4 years ago. The reviews seemed to indicate a "love it or hate it" response to this meal.

We ended up leaning strongly toward the "hate it" end.

The food was the highlight, but for basic BBQ stuff, that was little comfort. We did this meal in late September and it was hot, hot, HOT!!! The characters were only out for brief periods which was understandable given the heat, but it also made it very frustrating to visit them.

And then there's the music. Country is not my thing, so I probably should have known better. My wife does like Country music, but even she wasn't impressed.

This meal was the biggest disappointment of our trip. We couldn't wait to get out of there.
