Has anyone asked for extra sheets?

We're staying at VWL next week and might be having a teenager sleep on the pull out sofa cushions. Is there any way we could get sheets? What about families with sick or not quite potty trained kids? They must be able to get extra sheets.

The pull out sofa cushions are no longer removable. At least not at BWV and some of the other DVC resorts. I don't think a teenager would be able to sleep on it even if it was.

As far as extra sheets, DVC resorts do not provide extra bedding.

The sofa cushions are definitely removable at BWV at least they were in our 2bedroom 2 weeks ago. The backs stay on but the seat parts come off before you pull the sofa down.

That's funny, it wasn't the sofa you pulled open from the strap at the top? Thought the cushions were all integrated.

OP: MS specifically states at time of booking that no extra bedding will be provided. You'd be better off packing an air bed and sheets or a sleeping bag for your teen. It's what we do.

The sofa cushions at VWL are DEFINITELY NOT removable anymore. DVC is migrating to a new style of sleeper that unfolds a bit differently and doesn't require removing anything put the throw pillows.

There are at least two different styles of sleeper sofa out there - one with removable cushions (OKW, SSR), one without (BWV, BCV). Not sure about the rest.

With access to washer and dryer, there is no need for the resorts to provide extra.

That being said, for your purposes, just pack one extra sheet. It won't take up much room at all and provides what you are looking for from resort management.

Regarding the cushions at BWV: The ones with the straps stay attached as the bed unfolds BUT they are attached with velcro so they CAN be removed if you wish. I only know this because a guest before me must have done this, since the cushions were not completely velcroed together again.
Regarding sheets: During our last trip I got the world's worst stomach bug. I was worried that I might need clean sheets. Mousekeeping brought me extras (no charge), checked on me several times to see if I needed anything, brought me spray disinfectant when I asked and the mousekeeping supervisor even brought me complimentary hot soup (which I couldn't eat, but so thoughtful nonetheless). I suspect that in the case of an emergency you will be given clean sheets with no charge.

Yes it was the sofa you pull down from the strap at the top with the pillow tucked into the compartment. The seat cushions came off first - the back cushions stayed on.

My niece and her daughter slept on the sofa bed in a 2-bedroom villa at OKW in November, and we requested and housekeeping delivered two rolled up twin-size foam pads for them to use on the less-than-super-comfy sofa bed. It made a big difference in their sleeping comfort.

My DD got sick in the big king size bed at SSR. I called mousekeeping, and had new sheets and blankets in like 5 minutes (this was at like 11:30 at night) they told me to put the dirty sheets in the hallway when I asked if I should wash them.

Perhaps the "rules" are different if someone soils the sheets vs just requesting extras to start with. I thought bedding was provided for the sofa sleeper though- I know when there have been four of us in a studio there were sheets provided for the sleeper and extra pillows and a blanket in the closet.----Kathy
