Has anyone and how did it work?

Hey there folks,

We're planning our 7th Disney Cruise for Feb 08. We will be booking our own air, but using DCL transfers from the air port to the port and back again.

This time we are DVC members. We are planning on flying down on Friday and using points to stay at Saratoga Srpings Friday night. We figured we'd use Magical Express to get there. However, we don't want to be picked up by cruise line bus at the resort, as we have no control over how early they will get us. We like to get to the port with the first few buses.

All that being said, we think we can use Magical Express for the trip back to the airport on Saturday morning, but how do we make that reservation since we won't have a flight leaving? And it looks like from some of the other threads here, we can keep our luggage with us to the airport, where we'll then put the cruise tags on for transport to the ship.

So has anyone had experience with this type of plan?

People have, yes. Find a flight that leaves about two hours after you want to arrive at MCO, and register that as your departure flight with Magical Express. They’ll pick you up about three hours before flight time, and get you to the airport two to 2.5 hours before ‘your’ flight.

We just booked our flights last week and I made our Magical Express reservation today, following the above posters suggestion. The follow up, for the trip back to the air port, do they have luggage tags or since we supposedly be checking back in with the air line, do they just take your luggage on the same bus. And can we have them drop us off at the Magical Express/Cruise Bus area or will we have to be dropped off at the air line and make our way back to the Magical Express/Cruise bus location?
