Has anybody used DFDS Seaways?

We are traveling to DLP by car in September and were going to travel on the euro tunnel but after looking on the net I've found a return ferry crossing for £54 which is almost half the price of the tunnel!
Has anybody had any negative experiences with this company?
Thanks for any help!

Exactly why we are giving them a try this year. We have our first ferry crossing with them on Friday so will let you know how we get on. :goodvibes

I've use them every time I have traveled, always doing the Dover to Dunkirk route.

Never had a problem with them, but most of the time I end up getting the 4am ferries and there's hardly anyone around!

Join their facebook group or sign up to the newsletter as normally they do discount codes last year I got £10 off

Thanks for your help! I was a bit worried it was too cheap! How silly is that! :rotfl:
Is it easier to go to Dunkirk or Calais? I'm going to like it on Facebook now!
Thanks! :)

I've never done the Dunkirk route but I am sure Calais to DLP is shorter and it is a very easy route from there. It must be a much shorter crossing too although we never looked at this company until they recently introduced the Calais route.

yes we used then at easter,
we did the dover to calais route, and had no problems at all! :goodvibes

Everything went very smoothly check in normal at dover they were using the old sea france lanes, The ferry was more than half empty!! we went on the 8.30am outward crossing and were so surprised as we thought it would be packed at that time of day (we usually do early hours crossings as its cheaper) but it was so calm and quiet. We got chatting to a lovely member of staff who said they were quiet as its a new route and after sea france went under a lot of people booked up for p&o, but now they were expecting it to pick up a bit.

I would recommend using them, lovely service, no problems and very cheap! :)

oh and we will be using them again in the summer
