Has anybody seen the Peter Pan Movie?

It's playing at our $1 theater and I'm taking the kids tonight. I wondered what to expect....Is it any good?

I loved it and don't really know why it got such bad reviews. It was JUST like the book. The scenery is beautiful and I thought the special effects were good. It's certainly worth $1!!!

I was really looking forward to seeing this until a friend of DS's said he saw it and it wasn't really good. If an 8 yr old didn't like it, I don't know what to think. Usually they love everything (take Cat in the Hat for example).

Any other opinions?

Maybe that's why people didn't like it! Maybe everybody was expecting the Disney story but non cartoon.

DS8 is a great reader and just finished reading the Great Illustrated Classics Peter Pan. I assume he will probably really enjoy it now that I hear it's just like the book.

I know a few people who saw it and they told me that they loved it! I planned to see it myself but it was gone so quick for some reason. Now I'll just have to wait until it comes out on video.

DH and I loved the movie and can't wait for it to go the dollar movie so we can see it again. What's a dollar anyway?

I was sure I wouldn't like this movie but was so surprised that it was very well done.

Well we saw it and I thought it was very well done. I went with another adult friend, DS8, DD11, & DD11's friend. DS, my friend and I loved it. The two 11 year old girls said it was "OK". Which could mean great or could mean not so good depending on the mood of the moment so I'm not sure.

Anyway, thanks for the reviews. I'm glad we went and we'll rent it on DVD for DH to see because I can tell he'll like it.

I took the kids to see it a few weeks back and we loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was great and I was quite surprised with how much *I* enjoyed it. But I do enjoy Peter Pan movies. I loved HOOK.
