Has anybody purchased a "compressed" mattress ?

We have tried 2. The first was a Leesa and I loved it but it was too thin for the fiance. I'm an average woman where as he is a bigger guy so he felt like he was hitting the box spring every night. We returned it with no issue and full refund with in the 75 day sleep trial. We currently have a Loom and Leaf. To be honest I'm indiferrent. It is a little firm for my preferrence. Fiance loves it so we kept it. We could have returned it for full refund no questions asked with in 100 days.
Neither really had a smell to it.

I purchase one for my teenage daughter from Target. Opened it up and let it expand for 24 hours. It smelled at first but the smell was gone after a day or two. She loved hers so much I bought one for myself and love it too!

We have gone through so many mattresses and I love our "compressed" one from Costco the most. We bought the Novaform that they sell in the store. We thought for the price vs a Temperpedic we were willing to take a chance on it. We have had it for 3 years and its awesome. My daughter has a memory foam mattress from Ikea and it is great too. Ours came in a box an watching it expand was CRAZY! The Ikea one came rolled up. Our Costco one was pretty hard at first but we used our old memory foam topper on it and it was perfect.

My son has one. It did have a strong odor. I sprinkled it with baking soda for a day and vacuumed it off and that helped a lot.

We bought one from Amazon a few years ago. I had no complaints but my husband sleeps very hot and he finally couldn't take it anymore. Some of the foam mattresses hold body heat so in the summer it can be very uncomfortable. After several times waking up alone after he slept on the couch bc of the heat we finally bought another innersping.

I bought mattresses for my kids through Tuft and Needle and they are amazing! My daughter complained about her back for years and the complaints stopped after she got her new mattress. The customer service is also great.

We have a Leesa mattress and love it so far. We've only had it for 3 weeks but at this point plan to keep it. It does have a 100 night guarantee in case we change our mind.
I fully expected to have an adjustment period with the new mattress but we found it comfortable from day 1. It did have a slight foam smell for a couple of days but it dissipated. I sleep very hot and the Leesa stays pretty cool and doesn't retain body heat like our former mattress. I'm sleeping much, much better. The only complaint I have is that it sits a little low on our bed frame since the mattress is 10" and our old one was at least 12" if not more...but I'll gladly take a lower mattress in order to have the comfort I now feel. :)
The other brand we considered was Helix because you can customize each side of the mattress in case you like your side different than your spouse.

We have a Night Therapy Gel mattress for our king bed. DH and I both love it. Most comfortable mattress we have ever slept on.

Delivered via Fed Ex in a huge cardboard box. We also bought the matching foundation which was folded up and very compact. It is very sturdy.
No more backaches and we both sleep better. Sams has a very good return/satisfaction po;icy.

I have nothing to add, but just thought the timing of this thread is funny. I had never heard of these mattresses, but just had five of these delivered to my house yesterday for a friend who is relocating from MA to FL next week. I just can't figure out how they got queen sized mattresses in those little boxes. They aren't heavy. I brought all the boxes in by myself after UPS dumped them at my front door.

What are the prices on these mattresses? We are in need of a new queen one and I hate shopping for mattresses and have been hearing a lot about these.

You can pay as much as you want, but ours (which I linked to earlier in the thread) was $340. It has a 20 year warranty.

We bought a Sleep Science one from Costco online (when it was on sale) figuring we could just squish it into the back of the Tahoe and return it to the store if we didn't like it. It's 2 years old now and going strong.

It compares nicely to the base level Tempurpedic which is what we had before and which started getting uncomfortable due to permanent indentations after only about 4 years. I know they have a long guarantee, but they only replace if the indentation is a certain depth. We found the guarantee to be worthless. At least with the costco, if I have to replace it every 4 years, it's cheap enough to do that.

I don't find that it's too hot, but due to sinus and asthma problems, we keep the house really cold at night, so I might just not notice.

We opened it up in the garage at first in case it smelled, but it did not.

We bought a king Dreamfoam Ultimate Dreams, 13 in. gel foam mattress in February and love it! Amazon sells them: https://www.amazon.com/DreamFoam-Ma...5162&sr=8-1&keywords=dream+foam+mattress+king
But I got mine a bit cheaper direct from Dreamfoam. There was no odor on set up and everyone who lays in it loves it. The manufacturer states it compares to a tempurpedic cloud luxe (their softest memory foam) and I tried the tempurpedic in the store before buying the Dreamfoam. It is very comparable in how it feels, and the tempur was $6000 including foundation!

Okay, so, this is the one we ended up ordering.
I did use Amazon Prime free shipping and it was delivered 1 full day ahead of schedule.

DH easily carried it upstairs no problem.

I knew ahead of time that we are going to give it a full 48 hours to inflate just to error on the side of caution and to not lay on it prematurely as to cause dips or dents.

We laid out a sheet in the floor, DH sliced on end open, but the time he walked to the other end and pulled the plastic off, it had inflated nearly 75% in less than a minute. This morning I could easily see an increase esp on the very ends.

We're not letting DS sleep on it until tomorrow night for the full 48 hrs, but the small amount we have touched it, it seems nice and squishy.

I'm glad to say there were absolutely no odors at all. I'm very sensitive to smells, odors, perfumes, candles, lotions, etc. So I warned DH that if there was even the slightest hint of odor that I would be asking him to take it downstairs. We had no problems at all. DH did a great job of the whole thing in less than 5 mins.

I do want to add, the paperwork inside the box, confirmed my suspicions that this mattress was indeed made in China. While I could have done more research and due diligence I probably could have found that out before ordering. Not to say that would have caused me not to purchase the mattress, its just one of those bits they tend to bury in all the fine print.

We bought 2 for our camper. No problems, but we don't use them all the time.
