Once again, wackos on both sides. That is about as crazy as the YouTube video of McCain supporters filing into a rally where a person makes racist remarks to his children about Obama and many others scream at he camera that Obama is a Muslim.

I can't believe the amount of people on both sides that actually believe the e-mail spam they get.

See, that's a good example of the way people see or read something and take it out of context. Until you posted "people in the lower tax brackets" I would have sworn you were going to say "black people" instead. The quote "They think that they won't have to work after the election. They don't mince words. They actually say they won't have to work" sounds a whole lot like racial stereotyping that has been common in the past.

I agree and I'm going to guess that the post office worker falls into that 'lower tax bracket' as well as many people in Alabama. So why would your friend say 'they' and not 'we'?
If the postal worker is making $250,000 a year, I'm making Dh fold his small business on Long Island and we're going to work for the post office.

well I HAVE heard that many times over the past few times....standing in lines BUYING my food while the person in front of be brags about how much more she will be getting in her check each month after a (her words not mine) brother is POTUS! I guess she thinks obama is her brother lol no really it is crazy....I dont care what color he is, I vote republican if he wins oh well but people cant say there are not people out there who think they will be on the gravy train just because obama is in office...there are plenty BUT I really dont think it will make it better for them thats the funny thing...The lady in front of me scamming food stamps does not really need to worry about paying mortagage anyway.Yes i said scamming, when you are holding a 500.00 handbag and getting welfare your scamming...

Sorry... it didn't sound to me that she thought she would get free gas or her mortgage paid.

It sounded like me that she thought Obama would fix the economy.

She didn't say she wouldn't have to pay her mortgage. She said she wouldn't have to WORRY about paying her mortgage. There is a big difference there. Maybe she thinks things will ease enough that it will be easier for her to make ends meet. People see what they want to see in these things.

I agree. That's the way I heard it, too. She's hopeful.

Call me crazy but I took that as "I won't have to worry about doing this because things will improve" meaning the economy will now improve and these worries will be off my mind. *I* am hoping that this will happen as well and these worries will be off my mind. I do not believe this woman meant that Obama will pay these things for her. It is actually pretty clear to me.
