I was really hoping for Gary Sinise but the Tenative schedule says Robbie Benson....if you heard him did you enjoy him? Thanks

zurgswife,

I will be there for Robbie Benson as well, and although I have never heard him at CP, I am really excited to see/hear him. He has a great voice, and is a cutie! He is very talented. He does a lot of directing now, but he still keeps his hand in the acting thing. We here in NC are excited to have him as an artist in residence/ professor of drama at Appalachian State University.

He should be great. I noticed on Tuesday night that he is a Producer for 8 Simple Rules. I had not known that. As a teenager I had such a crush on him.

YES , we had him a couple of years ago as our narrator and he was great.....even was lucky enough to sit next to his wife and children during the show , so he kept looking their way as he looked into the audience so got some great video and pics of the performance

We also had him as narrator a couple of years ago and he was great!!! We really enjoyed the performance!!! In fact, it was our first time at CP and we liked it so much, that we've been back twice!!! (This year, we're trying MNSSHP - but we'll be back for MVMCP and CP next year!!!!)

Enjoy!!! (And the other posters are right - he is a cutie!!)

Ooooh...we had him for our CP narrator 2 years ago also. That silky voice and that electric smile! I was a teenager again! Does anyone else remember him from the 1977 movie "One on One"? I had such a crush on him!

Glad to hear such glowing reports....I also grew up with Robbie Benson and his movies....probabaly had a crush on him also...:):)....I was pretty sure he would be great (his voice is wonderful) but I had my sights on Gary Sinise I was afraid I'd be disappointed...

He was the speaker when I went in 2001, he was very good. A great voice, and a great smile. You will not be dissapointed.

Many of you may not be aware that Robbie Benson is the voice of the Beast in the movie "Beauty and the Beast". That's all him, including the frigthtening roar. Watch for his name on the credits. ;)

I will be there on Christmas Eve to hear him as well! I was also hoping for Gary Sinise. But, MAN, have you been to Robby's website? He is still a cutie just like when we all had crushes on him when we were kids in the 70's!

Remember, the "official" CP schedule is NOT out yet. The one that was posted on here the other day is a rumor. (But looks to be shaping up as true as you can check out Sandi Patty's site and others and verify when they are going to be at EPCOT.)

So I am still holding out hope for Gary, although Robby will not disappoint.

Does CP stand for Candelight Processional? Sorry if that's a stupid question... just checking. We have plans to go to the CP (dinner meal beforehand also) and I also had a crush on Robbie Benson! That would be so cool.... those eyes... :)

OK, having been a Disney Fan for many years, I am somewhat ashamed to say that I don't know what the Candlelight Processional is!

Does it have to do with Christmas time? Someone please educate the ignorant. Thanks

goofyernmost - From the WDWIG web site - "A Disney tradition now in its 33nd year (2003), the Candlelight Processional is a moving presentation of the Christmas story in readings by the celebrity narrator and music by a Mass choir and 50-piece orchestra." Here is a link for more info - http://www.wdwig.com/h_cpfaq.htm .

Have to agree with everyone else - if you have the chance to see CP, do so. Our family saw with Robbie Benson as narrator two years ago and we loved it.

Okay--I am going to look like a dumby here, I am afraid, but. . . who is Gary Sinese? Seems like everyone is anxoius to here him, and I haven't got a clue!! Not that we will be there when he is on the "schedule" --we still have TBA last I saw--but I would like to put an end to my idiocy!

I do know that I am soooo bummed that Robby Benson will not be speaking earlier in the month. I was so hoping (but don't tell my husband)!

Gary Sinise, you might remember him from Forrest Gump as his friend in the wheel chair or as a astronuat who got the measles in Apollo 13. To see a picture and learn more about him try -

We saw Robby Benson in 2001 also. He was wonderful. Told the story with great emotion. I highly doubt you will leave disappointed.

And yes he is a cutie! ;)
