Has anybody had any trouble with......

..........just a valid passport? Should we bring additional ID? When I called DCL they said that the passport would be enough, but I would like to make sure.

Aside from any tattoos or distinguishing moles you may be sporting, your passport is the ultimate ID. I've never had a problem using "just" my passport, and I would be very, very surprised if you encountered a problem. Just make sure it's still valid, and you should be fine. Have a wonderful cruise!

A valid passport is the gold standard of identification. When I've have to show ID for other things(not the cruise) there are always three columns of identifications listed...you need one form from one column, one from another, or 2 from this with one from that.....OR a valid Passport with no other verification required. You'll be good to go as long as it hasn't expired.

My entire family has cruised twice with "just" our passports. No problems either time!

We only use our passports. We just got back from Florida and we used the passsports for our ID's when flying. Our friends mother came to visit and she used her driver's license for her ID and ended up losing it on the trip because she had to take it out of her wallet so many times!!! My husband and I have thought about getting one for our daughter even though she is only 11 1/2 because the passport is so easy. Kathy

It is The First of the "10 Commandments" of travel:

1. I am the Passport. Thou Shalt have no other ID's before me.

(2nd is don't over pack, then always use a skycap, be nice to others, pick up after yourself, etc.).

I have never had a problem with my passport either. You should be fine.
