Has anybody got a last minute deal in The School hols?

Hi Folks
Due to circumstances I'm having to leave my holiday plans quite late. Just wondered if anyone has left their plans until the last minute and how it worked out.
I have 3 kids and don't like to take them out of school so we are hoping to go in late August.

I haven't myself as I can;t be that flexible due to annual leave etc but I have seen people who report they do with a great deal of success
