Everytime I fly into Orlando I try and try and try to see Spaceship Earth from the air. I have NEVER been able. I would think that something that large would stand right out. Have any of YOU ever seen Spaceship Earth from the air? Where should I look?

Yes we did, actually, but only once. It was the first time we went to WDW during the millineum celebration. It was really neat!!

I've also seen the Illuminations Fireworks from the air when I was leaving Orlando as well.

The air space over WDW is a no fly zone, so you can't actually fly over Epcot. But still, something that big has to be able to be seen for miles and miles. Doesn't it?

I've only seen it once from the air as we were heading back home. The first thing on WDW property I saw though was actually the Contemporary Resort. It was much bigger than Spaceship Earth, Space Mountain, or the Castle.

All those times we flew to Orlando, we never seen any disney icon. We fly from Detroit. I don't think we'll ever see Disney from up there.

Flying from MCO to go home last Sept I was lucky enough to get a window seat at the correct side of the plane. I saw SE in all its glory. VERY small from the sky! But still very cool.

We were lucky enough to see it on one occasion, but it was the Swan and Dolphin resorts that I spotted first. They appeared much bigger than Spaceship Earth. We fly from Memphis and on that trip the plane actually flew south kind of over the airport and circled back to the east to land heading north. It was a very bright and clear morning and it was beautiful!

Yep, we've seen Spaceship earth and Epcot in general too....it's pretty tiny though!
We most often see it as our plane comes down for it's landing...if you look across the horizon at JUST the right moment, you can see Spaceship Earth as well as the Swan and Dolphin hotels.
