Has anyone gone the week after Memorial Day? How are the crowds and the heat. Am thinking about planning a trip for that week next year and was just wondering. Thanks for any input.

Went 1st week of june in 1998 or 1999 (can't remember-getting old, but AK was just open). Stayed at the Yacht Club. Was hot ! for a New Englander like me, but liked it. Only very uncomfortable at AK, heat everywhere else bearable. Crowds not too bad, it was Gay weekend or something and maybe it kept some families away which was fine with my family. Did use the pool more than usual, which was crowded. Got a great promotional rate for yacht club, had originally booked Coronado Springs until deal came available. Loved the warm Florida evenings especially an e night at the MK.

We went last year at this time and had a
blast. After Memorial Day the crowds thinned
out alot. It was very HOT! Mid to upper 90's.
The crowds for Gay day later in the week
was not a problem, as we just went to a
different park. I thought it was a great time
to go. Plan and have a great time.

We visited WDW week after Memorial Day in 98 and 00. Crowds are slightly down since many school systems are still in session. Both times were exceptionally hot for that time of year. We saw record temperatures for end of May/beginning of June in 98; a couple of days the temperature was over 100 degrees F. The heat usually isn't quite so bad then, but it defiinitely can be. Parks can be crowded for Gay Day activities and the 1st Saturday after Memorial Day is normally scheduled by the Gay Day folks as Magic Kingdom day. In 98 & 00, WDW had early entry for MGM and Epcot on that day as well as the normal Saturday EE at MK; my guess is they will do it again this year due to the expected large crowd at MK.
