The Pride of America news story wasn't kept quiet. It was reported. Nobody was killed, and there were no dramatic photos or videos. So it was really only news of interest to cruise geeks, not the general public.Originally posted by linda8892
Here is a story about the NCL's Pride of America which apparently was kept very quiet.
While under construction in Germany, the Pride of America listed in heavy stroms and took on water, but did not tip over. She sank in about 30 feet of water, because an extensive amount of water entered the ship. She was not refloated until the following month. The Pride of America should already have been launched, but her launch will delayed somewhere around a year.
