I done it back in 2007 and was not too bad and thinking of it again for Sept this year what you think?

If my DW ever comes up with the idea that she is going on vacation somewhere without me, like a girls trip with her sister, I am going to WDW and will be gone AT LEAST as long as she is. Thats just how it is.

Have a magical trip.

I say go for it! One day I would love to do WDW by myself. That way I could see what I wanted, eat, sleep etc.

I did it last December. My DS was supposed to go with me but about a month before, he let me know that due to his job and college, he couldn't get away. I thought of canceling the trip but decided against it.
I had a great time. I had park hoppers and w/o having to ask someone else what they wanted to do, I "hopped" around quite a bit.
For me if it's a choice of going by myself or not going at all, I'd go.

I done it before but thats cool to get other males opinions on this what about meeting single ladies while in Orlando have you ever met any single ladies at the parks?

I went last Sept. for my first Solo trip and had a blast, and going back this Sept. again. I also did a Disney Cruise solo, and it was the best cruise I ever done.
Go for it,

I was in Disneyland for a week at a conference and did the park alone every evening. I wasn't sure how it would be, but it turned out to be really nice to have some time to myself.

i do the world solo i will be there next week for star wars week ends

Mike,
I have been solo on four or five trips. One time I met a mom and her DS at the Lion King show at AK. It was by chance we were sat next together and struck up a conversation and then we had a great time finishing the day at AK and the next day at Studios. On other trips, I thought it would be nice to meet someone, I tried to place myself in the right place at the right time, but I almost felt like a stalker and it made me feel creepy so I stopped doing it. At times, it seemed like it took more effort than it was worth. Now my approach is if it happens then great. I am a planner; I usually have several AR's and know which days I want to go to each park. The one time I met someone I modified my trip, it was all right, but I didn't do something I had planned.
I am planning my next solo trip this year during the food and wine fest. Unfortunately, that does start until Sept 25 so I will be there after you. I have tired to get my male friends and non-romantic female friends to go but I can't find any of them that seem to want to spend their vacations in WDW. It is nice to know other adult males love to hit the World on their own. Thanks for starting the thread.

I've been to The World 3 times solo; couldn't convince anyone to go with me. It can be a little lonesome, but I'm an only child so I'm used to that. The BIG up-side is you get to do what you want, see what you want to see, and all with no input from anyone else or compromising.

Well now that Dd is a teen and has trouble getting up I do a lot of Solo park time (DW never really did do the mornings)

But I have done many Solo trips as well. Been to DL several times while playing paintball and on Business. WDW every OCT for about 5 years for paintball at WWoS as well until DD started to come with me.

I would think you could set up a few meets if you wanted with no problem at all but I like being alone and just going with my own flow.

My husband said that he would not go to Walt Disney World without me. I suggested it since it would save us the cost of my going with him. He just decided to change the trip to closer and cheaper Disneyland instead. I think your going alone is just fine if you treasure your own company because that is everybody's right.

As for meeting single women in the park, the easiest way to do that is to probably just get in the single riders' line. You are not going to creep anybody out because you have a good reason for standing next to any woman there alone. You want to ride the same thing that she does. If you and any of those women in the park alone happen to be attracted to the same attractions, this could become apparent without either one of you having to do anything weird like follow the other.

Another poster here said that he felt like a stalker. Well, if you were doing strange things like hanging out outside the women's room to wait for her and whatnot, that would indicate a problem. Otherwise, any woman there alone paid her own way in and provided her own transportation to the theme park and could leave without you if she wanted to. So if she is hanging out with you, it is probably not just because she doesn't know how to get herself out of a bad date. Odds are that she is trying to tell you that she is interested in you.

I have just flirted with the female workers and of course never made any dates but it was fun at the lazy river to stop and flirt :cool1:

My advice: "Do it." My trip to the World at the end of this year, will be my first trip solo to the World, I usually go with my sister and/or brother-in-law, but I usually travel solo, wherever I go, and I've never regretted one of my solo trips yet.

I did it last year. It was my first trip to WDW so I always had something new to see and do. I suspect that;s still the case, I know there are things I didn't see last time that I wanted to see. I'm doing it again in August and have planned Golf and Backstage Magic, plus I'll try to see more of what I missed, plus revisit some favorites. So with all there is to do I don't think traveling alone to WDW is all that bad. Plus you are free to do what ever you want when you want - always an added bonus in my book
