hi i have been trolling for awhile :wave2:
and findly have a question i think is worthy to ask all of you dis pro's :confused3
going to the world soon and have read about waking up tinkerbell at
the magic kingdom
has any one out there been able to find her asleep and if so how early did you have to get here to wake her up :tinker:
we have a 9.15 breakfast with cindy at her castle
so i hoping we can catch tink a sleep before we go to the castle : :thanks:

RUN LIKE THE WIND!!! We were at the front of the Fastasyland rope drop and we missed it by about 3 seconds. We will try again next trip! Good luck!!!

Be careful, I've heard many a story of adults getting pretty nasty with others in their effort to ensure that they get their child(ren) there first.

we've had the pleasure of waking Tink several times...BEFORE it was as wel known.......GOOD LUCK!

I don't mean to sound ignorant, but what are you guys talking about? Waking up tinker bell? I know she flies from the castle at the beginning of the fireworks... Is that what you're talking about?

If you go to the little shop by the castle, you can wake her up in the morning. That is where she sleeps. I have never had the opportunity to be a part of this or even be there when it happens, but I would like to!

There is a store called 'Tinkerbell's Treasures' in MK. Inside, there are fiber optic lights arranged in such a way that it appears that Tink is 'flying' from one side of the room to the other. When the store opens, the first child that comes in is invited to 'wake up' Tink, which begins the light sequence for the day. It has become a very sought-after event, and for many I would go so far as to call is an obsession.

If I recall correctly, the child which is chosen is given a certificate to verify the event.

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

Oh, thanks a lot! I know the shop you're talking about now... I'll be sure to tell my little sister about it when we go next month.

Actually the first child to ASK to wake up Tinkerbell gets to put on Tink's tiara and use a wand to wake her up. The child taps a box on a shelf and says, "Wake Up Tinkerbell" three times. My DD got to do this September 5, 2005. She did get a certificate and it was GREAT. No I did not run, no I did not race, and no I did not have my DD push in front of anyone to be the first one. We left Cindy's breakfast and arrived at the store around 9:05. My DD did not know about it so she was thrilled when she got to do it. (Actually I was surprised no one else had asked.) I have read many times that a child is in the store waiting for the CM and another child comes running in asking. Even though the first child was in first, the other one got to. Good Luck! I hope you get to experience this.

Thanks for clarifying the event, as I have not witnessed this first-hand, and was providing info based on hearsay. I thought that there was some sort of wand/tiara for the princesses, but I didn't want to say that without knowing for sure. :thumbsup2

This is soooo cool. However, it's not worth it if the kid attempting to wake Tink is trampled by the oncoming crowd. lol

And that is exactly the type of story I've read countless times. With that said, good luck to all who try!

We got to wake Tink :tinker: in February. We were at the rope on the left hand corner. My dd got to hold the wand and ds got a sword. My neice was also there and she was given a certificate also. The CM we asked had no idea what we were talking about!! :confused3 She had to get her supervisor to explain!! It was fun! Just get straight to the Fantasyland rope as soon as you are through the gates! Good luck!!

thanks for the info :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
what time does the gate at magic kingdom open :hourglass
so we get get to fantastland for the rope drop early :thanks: :disrocks:

We got to do it last summer - my two boys, my neice and nephew (the boys had swords and the girl a wand). There was another family that walked in behind us wanting to do it also. They let us have our turn then let her do it too. That way no one walked away disappointed first thing in the morning. A great Magical experience!

BTW - we had 8:00 reservations for Cindy's and finished just before 9:00. We were at the rope drop inside the castle so we were right there. My SIL asked the CM which end of the rope she was going to take down first and we walked.

HTH

On our last trip in Nov. we had ressies at the castle with Cindy, so we were at the park for the opening of the park...............which was an excitement in itself watching Mickey and friends arrive by train and sing us into the park!
We got to fantasyland quickly and there was a child already inside waiting to wake up tinkerbell and we asked politely if they could maybe wake tink together, the little girl said NO! (very rudely i might add)
My daughter and neice were a little upset but werent about to let it ruin our day , after all we were going to eat in the castle with all those princesses!
Well the shop manager called them both over as soon as the other little girl left the store and said to them "you know what, i think tinkerbell went right back to sleep, maybe you would like to try and wake her again!"
Which left some pixie dust our way! They got the certificate too, and both were so happy! It was a magical day!

I have to add to this. It is realy fun. My dd was able to do it on our trip last August. We had breakfast with Pooh and then were at rope drop in Fantasyland. We walked into Tinkerbelle's Treasures and dd asked to wake up Tink. Since she was the first child in the store and the first to ask she was told yes. Well another little girl and her mom caming running in - when the little girl saw dd with the wand she burst into tears. As her mom was trying to comfort her my dd went and asked the CM if they both could do it. I was really proud of my dd. She needed no prompting. They both were able to and they both were given certificates.

I witnessed some of that craziness in the a.m. as the rope dropped near Fantasyland once and had no deisre to even try this with our kids. But, should anyone be interested, there is another secret about Tink in that same shop that is not a timed event and can be witnessed throughout the day.

If you enter Tinkerbell's Treasures on the side nearest the carousel, you will see a dresser on your left-hand side with some drawers on the front. (When I went, it had music boxes on top of it.) Look carefully at the drawers and you will see one with an open keyhole. If you crouch down some to look inside the keyhole and listen for the twinkling sounds to circle the shop, you will see Tinkerbell very quickly appear inside the keyhole when the twinkling passes that specific area of the shop!

When we were trying to surprise our kids with this little bit of magic last year, the cast member in the store just smiled and told us to listen and look! She knew exactly what we were up to, even though the other customers in the store were looking at us all a bit strange! I got the absolute BEST photos of our children while waiting, looking and then after seeing Tink appear...They both looked absolutely thrilled in the pictures...Good luck with this secret all! Have fun...

We have never done the official tinkerbell wake up (not early birds), however, just going to the store and looking into the keyhole and hearing the bells and the twinkling lights of tinkerbell quickly flying around the room was exciting for my children, especially my 6 year old.

I am glad to read that some people got to do the official one without being trampled on.
