Here you can talk about anything and everything Harry Potter related :wizard:

I'm multi-tasking by reading The deathly hallows and disboarding at the same time!

I thought it would take too long and I would never finish the whole series in one night, even if I'm the fastest reader I know. I had to take long-ish breaks when I was reading and I only started sometime after 1 pm.......

Harry Potter is the most amazing book/movie series ever. Period.

About to re-read #7. Just got back from movie #8. I was in tears, and loved the part where invisible text due to spoilers: Hermione and Ron kiss after they destroy the horcrux and they giggle like little kids. SOOOO CUTE!
I'm convinced that my sister is the real version of Luna Lovegood. :scared1:
And slightly off topic, you guys should try the Myheritage.com celebrity look-alike generator. It's told me I look like 3 Potter cast members so far: Emma Roberts, Bonnie Wright, and Helena Bonham Carter.

I was in tears too. I started crying when (Spoilers) it showed Lily and Snape's friendship, and the tears didn't stop until the end. I read the book, knew what would happen, and I still sobbed. I was a mess by the time the movie was over. I loved that part too! It was different than the book, but I thought it was done really well! :goodvibes

I loved that part too!!! The pensieve was an amazing scene, one of the best parts.

Saw it on opening day at midnight, and I was amazed. I loved the part spoiler when Harry broke the wand after he's like "it's mine" all nonchalantly. The whole theater cheered. I've read all of the books and seen the movies countless times for each, and I am just so in love with the series. It's brilliant.

My theater cheered really loudly when Mrs. Weasly said her famous line to Bellatrix and took her out. We all started clapping and cheering like crazy. :rotfl:

So did mine! We all went crazy! I loved that from the book so it was great to see it exactly as I pictured it would be in the film. :goodvibes

omg harry potter part 2 was the absolute best one EVER! it stayed
soo true to the book! I especially loved the part when *SPOILER*: Neville stood in front of Voldemort and made his speech and when he killed Nagini!

I absolutely adore the harry potter movies and books,i just watched the deathly hallow part 1 and now im going to watch part 2 today!I'm so Excited!:woohoo::banana:

I loved that part too! I love how J.K. Rowling gave Neville his moment, she made him a hero :lovestruc I was so suprised when Neville is all pumped with energy after he: Destroys the bridge and a bunch of death eaters fall over and then he... TELLS LUNA HE LOVES HER!!!!! What was up with that?! J.K. Rowling specifically said that that would never ever happen because they're too far out in different directions of personality, but I LOVED IT!!! I thought it was adorable :goodvibes
BUT at the very end you know 19 years later, the makeup jobs were horrible. All they did was... *invisible* give Harry some grey stubble, make Ron look fat, give Malfoy a beard, and I don't even know what they did for Hermione. I think they just threw her hair in a pony and called it a day:sad2:I mean I was reasoning that even if Hermione had that first child the day OF the Battle, she would STILL look to young!!!:lmao:
That's just my opinion though. Still loved the movie and it was so so weird seeing them "all grown up" I'm now so sad I feel like crying that it's over...:sad1:

Not to start a fight, but I didn't think it stayed true. Number one, they skipped the entire part about the fight at Hogwarts actually starting in the Ravenclaw common room with the evil brother and sister whose names escape me. Number two, Ron and Hermione kiss at a different part. They did the kiss well, but it was at the wrong part. Number three, Harry and Voldemort duel in the Great Hall, not all over the castle. Harry duels him because Voldemort targets Mrs. Weasley after she kills Bellatrix. Plus, only one spell is cast by Harry that kills Voldemort. Number four, Neville kills Nagini in front of everyone, not just Ron and Hermione. Those were just the stand-outs to me. I'm not complaining, I LOVED the movie, :lovestruc but it wasn't really true to the book. On the contrary, I though they did the Snape and Lily part pretty true to the book, even if Harry got the liquid a different way than Snape's tears. Sorry to complain. I really did love the movie! :goodvibes

Oh mine did too. It was awesome!

Mine didn't cheer at this part actually, but instead everyone freaked out that Harry didn't fix his own wand before he broke the Elder Wand. Overall there were a few things that they changed that bugged me Neville/Luna, Voldemort and Harry dueling throughout the castle, and that both Bellatrix and Voldemort sort of "fell apart" so to say when they died but overall I really liked it a lot! And the memory sequence with Snape, especially when he held Lily in his arms, made me love Snape even more than I already did and make me sob.

Oh gosh, my sister says she's now going to talk with a British accent for the rest of her life. *Facepalm*
