This is for my first term essay, I need all the help I can get!

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book?
Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing?
Why do you love it?
What was your favourite book of the series?

I felt ecstatic when i read the first HP book. I wasn't really sure it would turn into a big thing. I love it because it's one of the few books I can enjoy reading. I'm not that big a reader but when it comes to Harry Potter... i'm in! My favorite book of the series had to be the first one hands down.

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book? I loved them from the very first chapter. They're just so fun and I love her style of writing.
Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing? Haha no, I had no clue.
Why do you love it? It was had a lot of new and fun ideas in it. The characters are not perfect, they make mistakes and have fights which makes them more appealing.
What was your favourite book of the series? Half Blood Prince is my favorite.

I don't remember how I felt, but I must of really enjoyed it because my mum read the first book to me, and started Chamber of Secrets, and I somehow ended up reading it by myself.

I think i started reading them just before the Goblet of Fire came out, so I guess it was already a big thing? I definately started reading them before they announced a movie coming out because I remember getting really excited about it. I don't I ever thought it would be as huge as it is now with the addition of a "theme park" in Florida. Ii hoped a theme park would happen, but didn't think it actually would.

I love the idea of it. Who didn't wait for their acceptance letter to Hogwarts when they were 11? Reading through it recently, I really like the humour used throughout which doesn't make the story too serious.

I can't really decide on a favourite book. It changes everytime I think about it.

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book? My mom read the first one to me, and I was quivering with excitement the whole time. This is my face: 8O
Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing? Well, I got into it a little late because I couldn't get my hands on a copy of the book for some reason, so by that point there were already three books out and it had become a big thing. (At least I'm not one of these people who only sees the movies and thinks they're a big Harry Potter fan).
Why do you love it? It's so relateable-- everyone knows a few Rons, Hermiones, Lunas, Dracos, Lupins, even Umbridges in their real lives. And JKR did a great job mixing her mythologies in a way that's truly creative.
What was your favourite book of the series? Goblet of Fire <3 The resurrection is some of JKR's best writing. And then there's the ferret....

Well, I'm not a HP fan, so my answers will be pretty diverse (:

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book? Very confused
Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing? Nope
Why do you love it? I don't love it :p But it did have an interesting story line
What was your favourite book of the series? The first one, the farther and farther you go into the series the more confusing, uninteresting, and odd it gets

I can't remember how I felt, exactly. I do remember that I just wanted more! I had to know more!

I think I first read them around the time that the POA movie came out, so it was already big.
I love it for lots of reasons. I love how the characters have real personalities, I love how the world is so immersive, I love the depth, how the series grows with the readers.

My favourite book is Deathly Hallows. I loved how it resolved plot lines from books as early as C of S.

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book?
I actually didn't like the very first one. I read it and waited almost a full year before I was hooked on the second one.

Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing? When I started the second one it WAS a big deal.

Why do you love it? It's relatable. I know magic isn't real and such, but everyone can relate to the characters.

What was your favourite book of the series? Goblet of Fire!

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book? My mom and I read them together and I remember being beyond excited to keep reading. I would always be begging her to come sit and read with me for a while.
Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing? I got a later start on the series so they sort of were something by then. But never would I have imagined that it would turn into such a crazy, amazing fandom.
Why do you love it? It is another world that I can enter if I need to escape my own. It has characters that I have grown up reading about and sharing in their adventures, so to me they almost feel like family. They are just so unlike anything else that people have written and they almost beg you to go back and read them over and over again, which I do and can't help but love them.
What was your favourite book of the series? Deathly Hallows was by far my favorite, even if it was the most sad (and made me cry multiple times throughout it)

And my little side note...it's so cool that you're doing an essay on HP. I did one last year on book banning with special emphasis on this series, and it was the most fun I've ever had writing a research paper! :goodvibes

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book?
I felt amazing. I felt like anything could happen because it has a much more realistic piece than most fanatasy books.
Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing?
Not really. Most books I like don't make it to the "really popular" stage.
Why do you love it?
It's magic, but it's realistic. As someone else said, we can relate to the characters by knowing someone like them, or being like them. They're so real, and I think that just makes it so much better.
What was your favourite book of the series?
HP and the Goblet of Fire with the Order of teh Phoenix and Deathly Hallows tied for a close second. They're all phenomenal; it's difficult to pick a favorite.

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book?

I felt amazing. It was my favourite book from the moment I started reading it when I was 9.

Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing?

I came into the series when it was already big, it was a year before the PoA movie came out.

Why do you love it?

I feel like I can just get so into the book that I imagine myself at Hogwarts, learning all of the magic. I just let my imagination lead me forward and it's amazing.

What was your favourite book of the series?

Philosopher's Stone (but my other 2 favourites are PoA and Order of the Phoenix. :) )

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book? I honestly didn't like it at first. I thought they were long, and the beginning was boring and just a lot of information. Now I am probably one of the biggest fans out there and working at wizarding world :) I really started to love them when the 5th book came out and I was in like 7th grade or somthing like that. I read them all before that though.

Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing?
I had no idea. I don't think it really hit me how big it was till the 5th book came out and the movies etc. It was crazy after that, and wizarding world has shown me all the true fans out there and how devoted they are (one person was in a full on hedwig costume one day...)

Why do you love it?
I love the plot line, and how the story comes together over 7 books. You can't leave one book out, because then the story would not be complete. I also read them around the same time I was growing up if that makes sense. I was going through the same issues as harry and his friends, and I really connected with them.

What was your favourite book of the series? Half blood prince, hands down. I love love love it! This is the book where I related the most with harry and his friends, and could really understand there emotions. It started to bring the story to a close, but there were still a few mysteries out there. It was just the most amazing book in the series :)

How did you feel the first time you read the first Harry Potter book? Intrested and amazed.

Did you know that it would turn into such a big thing? Yes, it was already when I started to read.

Why do you love it? Because it's just so creative and the movies are funny, too (:

What was your favourite book of the series? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
