We visited IOA on June 24th, a very rainy Sunday. The rain got harder and harder as the day progressed and we all got used to our wet shoes and wearing our ponchos. The rain didn't slow us down much and it wasn't very crowded, so you can't beat that. The Forbidden Journey was amazing. The wait times never went above 15 minutes during the 2 1/2 hours we were at Hogsmeade. We rode, then shopped at the castle. Then did the dragon coaster. Then shopped in Hogsmeade. Then shopped more. The three kids in our group wanted to shop more than ride the rides. We bought wands, chocolate cauldrons, chocolate frogs, extendable ears, butter beer. It's amazing that we didn't lose our lunch on any of the rides due to all of the junk we were eating. We went to Posiden's Fury show, and it scared the crud out of my 8 year old nephew. My brother-in-law had to leave with him. We ate lunch in the Dr. Seuss area, at the Circus Migurcus tent (or something like that). Food wasn't too bad. We had pizza and burgers. Then we braved the rain and rode a small train ride in Seuss land. We then headed over to the Jurassic park area. Again the kids wanted to shop and then we spent some time in the science area below the shop. There were some fun activities for the kids to do. Then over to Jurassic Park ride where a few gluttons for punishment decided to see if they could get any wetter than they already were. They did. Then we headed towards the Marvel area, passing by 2 more water rides. My brother-in-law told my son that he would go with him on one of the rides "if no one else wanted to." Well no one else wanted to and I have to say my brother-in-law is a saint. Our last ride for the day was Spiderman. We wanted to ride the Hulk, but it had closed down for the day. Spiderman was a great ride. I'd highly recommend it. Despite the weather, we had a great time at Universal. I would definitely go again!

Sometimes bad weather makes for a wonderful day. I'm glad you guys didn't let it "dampen" your spirits.
