Do you think they will open Harry Potter World in 2010 ?

Anyone know of a time frame or date ?

Maybe on a holiday ?
Any holidays work with the Harry Potter theme ?

Easter 2010 ?
President Days weekend 2010 ?
Valentines Day 2010 ?
4th of July 2010 ?
Memorial Day 2010 ?
Labor Day 2010 ?

Too far out to tell..I'm sure it will be geared towards a holiday like Memorial Day..Lots of crowds-super busy!!

I was thinking they may connected to the DVD release of the 6th movie. It comes out in theaters this fall, so that would be ripe for a Spring Break/Easter opening.

I'm just hoping it'll open sometime over the summer! I plan on going to Disney in September 2010 (crossing my fingers for free dining!!!!), but I'm planning on spending a day or two at Universal solely for the Harry Potter World. Here's hoping!!!!!

I agree...I think HP will open sometime that summer so you should be OK in September.

Yea, but how soon after the opening would they instill the use of FOTL? Anyone remember how long after the Simpsons opening it took before FOTL was active?

That will depend on the attractions and how the queue will be set up. The Express Plus line was open on the The Simpsons a couple of weeks after the opening if I remember correctly.

Planning to be there in July 2010....................please, please, please be ready by then!!!!!
Does anyone know how it is coming along? Any pictures? Any details about what is actually going to be in there?!!

I vote for it to open late spring or early summer 2010 (if not earlier!).
That way, a tiny bit of the crowds wanting to be first ones there will be done by MY TRIP! (in mid/late Sep 2010!). And to give the houseelves a chance to tweak anything else!

Gosh, doesn't a butterbeer sound good... hope it's alcoholic!

:wizard: I'll wave my wand to make it so! :wizard:

We can't wait. We have decided not to go to Universal this year. But plan on being there next year for Harry Potter. We like to go at the end of September (our children are in year round school). Hopefully the crowds will be very low like they were last year when we went.

I won't be back until at least 2011 as we have our 1st little one on the way.

My wife is a Harry Potter freak ( she was watching it today:laughing:) so i will have no probs getting her to go !!

But looking forward to it, was there in Jan and it was coming along nicely !

I have the same plan (except I am hoping for August). I hope it works out for us!

It really isn't a holiday, but maybe they will open it on July 31st, Harry's birthday. Or even cooler, September 1st, the day when term begins for Hogwarts students.

I heard that butterbeer is supposed to be non alcoholic.

Butterbeer should be non-alcoholic, as the young characters in HP drink it all the time. Root beer is non-alcoholic. Think about it...

Now if they serve mead or Strongbow... :drinking1
