Hi Harry Fans!!
I know I'm chiming in late on this topic but I just finally had time to sit down and read it. I searched and read the really long thread and didn't see any mention of this so here goes:.......
BIG HOLE in STORY (unless I missed something)
1) The whole story revolved around Voldemort getting his hands on the prophecy, right?
2) The prophecy could supposedly only be retrieved by Harry, himself....right?
3) BUT...when other prophecy balls were smashed by a spell or other means, they "told their stories".....right?
4) Therefore, all Voldemort or anyone else had to do was break the ball, as it sat on the shelf, by any means....right?....making the rest pointless.
Granted, Voldemort was trying to keep a low profile, but it just seems like he could have sent any Death Eater in to do it and report back to him etc.... Besides...he showed up there anyway. It would have been less trouble to sneak in , break the ball and get out.
Any insight is welcome.
~~Also, I agree with those who think Petunia is a lot more connected to Wizardry, than it seems...she just knows too much and lets it slip every now and then.
~~I wonder the long term effect of Harry realizing that if he'd just founf the mirror, so much trouble could have been avoided and Sirius might not have died.
~~And, I love GROG's theory on sequels involving Harry's Auror training!!
Thanks for hearing me out!!
