We will be at Universal for one day , Thursday April 14th. Will one day be enough just to do Harry Potter? How long does it typically take? And is it still very crowded there? We plan on only doing Harry Potter and no other part of Universal.

Thanks

Yes, very crowded, especially then (spring break). Half day for WWoHP on a normal day, possibly more time than that on Apr 17.

It is still Spring Breaks and even when it is lower crowds ,WWoHP is still packed..It is a popular and as long as you get there for opening you should get it done in a day..But realize that onsite Universal resort guests get into WWoHP an hour before the rest of the world, so there will already be waits and possibly a line to wait just to get INTO that section of IOA by the time it opens to the rest of the world.

Same question, but in September?

We are going on the 30th at RD and staying til close (8-6) and only doing Harry Potter. I have read a lot and checked out the maps. I think it can be done but have never been. We are not staying on property so no early entry for us. Our plan is this:

1. Try and do Ollivanders early or late depending on the line.
2. Ride FJ once in the regular line (first or after ollivanders) (all subsequent trips will be standby unless for some reason the line is short (not likely)).
3. My sister will be riding one or both the dragons stand by as I will not ride and then we may do the hippogriff ride.
4. Eat lunch at the three broomsticks around 11:30-12 if we can get everything done ride wise.
5. Spend the busy part of the afternoon after lunch looking at the shops. Do Ollivanders if we didn't do it that morning and ride FJ again.
6. If we feel we have done everything to our hearts content by 4ish, then we are going to venture out and try to ride ride ripsaw and jurassic park and my sister likely will ride Hulk standby.

Don't know if it's a good plan but it is our plan. lol. We are two adults traveling so we don't walk slow and move through stuff pretty quick etc with the exception of ride lines.
