Harry Potter Question for January

We are visiting Walt Disney World for 2.5 weeks in January 2011. I am planning on two days at Universal, primarily to see Harry Potter World but to see as much as we can of both parks. The way the planning is working out at the moment I have Saturday the 8th and Wednesday the 12th as the two days ear marked for our visits. We will be staying off property but plan on arriving early both days. I am planning a full morning one day in Harry Potter World and then a late afternoon till 6:00pm closing on the other day. I'd really like feedback as to which day would be better to allocate to these two planned days. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you could pick any other day than Saturday I would. Weekends are much busier than during the week. I was there the last two days of August through the first week of Sept (strictly at Universal for the whole week) and could not believe how much more crowded Fridays and Saturdays were than the rest of the week. I'd choose two days during the week if I possibly could. I was at WDW the second week of Oct and went to US on Monday and Thursday and crowds weren't too bad. I'm going back to WDW Dec 9th-17th and am planning on Sunday and Wednesday as my Universal days.

What we did for the Oct trip was spend all day at Islands of Adventure on Monday, devoting the morning to the Harry Potter World. Thursday we went straight to Universal Studios and then when we finished about 2:00pm, we spent the rest of the day back over at Islands of Adventure repeating things we really liked from the first day. Both days were there before opening and made a beeline for the headliners (Harry Potter World at IOA then the Mummy, Simpsons, then Men in Black at the Studios).
