Is the breakfast at 3 Broomsticks the only difference between a HP Package and a regular vacation package? We have 2A and 2K staying 4nts at RPR w/3 day PtP tix Mar 5-9 and I'm looking for the best prices... The HP Package is ~$60 more than a regular package (all other things being equal) and I'm wondering if that's just the cost of the breakfast?

Can you eat breakfast at 3 Broomsticks w/out the HP Package or is it still reserved just for those w/the HP package? It is open for lunch and dinner to all though, right? $60 seems like a lot for breakfast... maybe we'd be better off just eating lunch there and doing a regular package?? Early entry into IoA is for all hotel guests regardless of package or room only status, correct?

Sorry for all the questions. We are new to Universal and I'm trying to figure it all out. Thanks! :flower3:

Breakfast is the only difference. You can eat lunch and dinner there without a package.

breakfast was nothing special.....if you want the English breakfast, it has beans, potatoes, black sausage (yuck) eggs....didn't look to appetizing .the three broomsticks was neat, but I think lunch would have been better

Breakfast was just regular, nothing special. But the atmosphere was cool and no wait.

I booked it with my concierge at th RPH for the next day, after seeing the lines all day to get in for Lunch/Dinner.

I believe it was $15 pp. imo definitely worth it though.

It is only available to non-package people when their bookings are very low. We've tried a few times to get in with moderate crowds and were denied.

ok, wasn't so sure of that, it was Columbus day weekend...I guess the only big crowds where only in Potterland.

In that case, while OP is staying 4 nights, hopefully, there will be a chance to get into the place without too much waitpopcorn::

Thanks for all the info. I went ahead and booked the regular package w/out the breakfast. We'll just try to get into the 3 Broomsticks for an early lunch. We're not big breakfast eaters anyway and that will give us more time in the Wizarding World to check out the attractions early.

Now, that brings up another question... is it still the best plan to take advantage of early entry to see WWoHP? Our plan would be to go to Ollivanders first, then line up for FJ. But lately it seems I've been reading that it's super crowded early and the crowds tend to die down a bit in the afternoon??? Maybe we should hit the other areas of the park first thing while everyone else is at WWoHP, then go there for lunch and into the afternoon... Which do you think would be the better plan crowd-wise? We'll be there on Sunday, March 6th (but will have an opportunity to go back the following 2 days too).

Yes, still the least crowded during early entry and do Ollivander's first. When it is super crowded early that is referring to the after 9 o'clock crowd. It will always be less crowded during early entry.
