We're watching Harry Potter on the Disney Channel tonight. We're wondering if Disney will continue to air the Harry Potter movies once Universal opens their Harry Potter attractions. :confused3 It seems like a conflict of interest for Disney to be airing the movies even now when Universal is working on the Harry Potter attractions.

Universal doesnt own Harry Potter, it's owned by Warner Brothers.

WB and Disney go way back. One of the best collaborations between the 2 was "Who Framed Roger Rabbit".

BTW, DreamWorks SKG is under talks with Disney to become their new distributor, so Disney will own distribution rights to Shrek and similar, even though there are attractions at US.

My sick dd is watching it right now. I am praying she does not have the flu.:scared:

I hope she is all better soon.

These are both good points that I didn't consider--thanks.

This is pretty common, actually. Obviously, Disney has an association with Star Wars, with its attraction at D-HS, but the Star Wars films have been broadcast, at times, on Time Warner-owned networks, and NBC/Universal (then Vivendi Universal)-owned networks.
