Harry potter for On-site guests?

I am not sure how you would have FOL pass on FJ. There is only set of the main cattle shoots you walk thru which leads into the castle. There is a singles rider line and maybe that would be an express line but one would miss the whole castle part. There is no place in the front for a separate entrance or divided cattle shoot.

Thanks for the info about WWoHP!! :) We arrive July 13th and I'm glad to hear I can get in early. :thumbsup2

where there the 10 to the 13th, I am one of the many who are on the bigger side,so If i can get through, and can not get the Magical clicks to get on then I can disspeir:rotfl2: before everyone gets In.:rotfl2:

Have been at Universal since 6/21 (staying at RPR). There's currently no Express line for FJ, but we've been given early entry every morning. They told us early entry would be at 8:00 am, so on our first day we were at the turnstiles at 7:45 & there was a line back to the park entrance. The next few days we arrived at 7:30 & walked right back to WWoHP. We were on & off of FJ before 8:00 am :goodvibes. I would highly recommend doing the early entry, as the lines get really long once the park opens to the GP.

Pink Flamingo, did you just walk to the front of the line at IOA entrance past the GP waiting to get in, or was their a separate line for those with the WWHP package and onsite guests

There were minimal lines at the turnstiles (no lines specifically for on-site guests there). Once we passed through the turnstiles, they had staff directing all on-site guests to a line that went through the Seuss area (the GP line had to go all the way around the park via Toon Town & Jurassic Park). It was very well organized & they had staff & security along th e way checking to be sure you had your Express pass (room key). I was very impressed with how smoothly it went.

Hope that answers your questions ~ if not, just let me know & I'll try to do a better job of explaining.

Thanks for this info! We're going to RPR in August. Would you recommend doing FJ first or the shops first to avoid the most crowds?

I would probably do FJ first (unless you want to do Olivanders, in which cas I would do that first, as that line really builds quickly). We rode FJ as soon as we entered (around 7:40 am) & as soon as we got off we went to Dervish & Banges & walked right in. We did the joke & candy shop later & only had a 5 minute wait. I think the key is to get to WWoHP as early as you can. We were able to do everything and exit the WWoHP section prior to 10:00 am.

Thanks! This info helps a lot! :)

We just got back from staying at RPR for a week. We did the early entry on Monday 6/21 and got there at 7:30 and the line started at the sky high trolley. We went straight to FJ and it took us abou 45 min because it broke twice while we were waiting but it was well worth the wait. We had to leave the area around 10am because my brother left his GF DS ticket in my wallet and the line to get back in started at the Cat in the Hat ride and went all the way around the park.

We went back that afternoon at 5:30 and walked right into the area....so the rest of the week that is what we did, just went late afternoon. We went Wed night and left kids with Grandma and Aunt Kathy and ate at the 3 Broomsticks...great food. Took about an hour becuase they were short staffed. I asked one of the guys when they stop letting people into the line since it was 9pm when we got our food, and they said they stop at 10pm. If there are people waiting to eat then they let them get food and don't kick them out until they are done. That was good, at 10pm I looked over and all the shops were open with no lines, so we went into everything and got picutres and spent way to much money :).

On Thursday I really wanted to ride FJ again but the line was 75 - 90 minutes...DH did not want to wait so he took the kids back to the pool and said he would see me in a few hours when I got off the ride. I went in and the line was backed up past the gates so I figured I was in for a heck of a wait....well then the guy said if you weren't checking a bag to go to the left...went to the left....then at the entrance asked if they had single rider and was pointed up the stairs...5 minutes later I am on the ride :) woo hoo!!! Rode it twice in about 15 minutes.

So I reccomend going at least once for the early entry and walking through the castle can't miss that and then going back late at night to do other things and if you can use the single rider line. The only downside is when I got off the ride the first time we were let off at a differnt loading area where we had to take a elevator up to 3 and then walke down a hallway to another elevator and then down to 1, so if you had younger kids doing single rider this could make some trouble getting them back :)

We are also headed down for Fall Break in October, staying at the Hard Rock. I have not bought the package, as we can get early entry and express passes with the hotel (I think this is correct, based on earlier posters). How long does breakfast at the Three Broomsticks take? Is this worth spending valuable early morning hours or not? Would bypass this generally in favor of seeing more attractions before the crowds come in.
Peoria, we are the same ages, kids 11 and 13. They do not remember their last visit as they were babies. Is the Harry Potter Package worth it? Or should I keep my Hard Rock Hotel reservation and buy the 2day ticket as planned, then thought we would head out to Disney for another day or two. Open to suggestions. I think 2 days will be good for US/IOA, then I would like to visit WDW for the water parks. We have 4 days.

We are actually taking a more relaxed Florida trip this year. I bought the 7 day $99 tickets they had at the beginning of the year and are spending the week at HRH. I do still have a few days of Disney park and water park tickets left from our last visit and if we get bored we can head over. That is the goal though to get bored and relax. Not sure if I can be that close to WDW and not go.....

If you only have 2 days not sure if you want to use precious early hour time in a restaurant. Uncrowded shop time might be better and then hit 3 Broomsticks at night? It will fun anyway you do it! I can't wait :)

Single rider line usually lets you off at the same place as everyone else. It sounds like every now and then the cars are directed to a different loading area. I don't think anyone online has quite figured out the reason for it.

When we got off they were loading people in wheelchairs so that might be it. They might direct a bench to go there when they need to load someone who needs assistance like that.

So can someone clear up the opening times please?

Normal opening at 9:00am but 8:00am for on-site guests and sometimes a bit earlier?:confused3

You are correct, the normal opening time is 9am but onsite guests get in at 8am. I never saw it open earlier, one day we went over early we actually didn't see the line start moving until around 8:15.
