Harry Potter Film Release Delayed until 2009

I have just read on a couple of sites that the new Harry Potter film won't be released until July 2009.

I was looking forward to seeing this film in the autumn. Now I have 2 things to look forward to in July and nothing in the winter. (Don't mention Christmas it has caused too many upsets in our family, I just like to get it over with.)

Apparently the filming of the last two is going ahead as scheduled. HBP's being delayed so that they have a summer blockbuster lined up.
The last book is being done in two parts 'so they can fit it all in' (and not to make sure the cash keeps coming in)

I'm pleased to hear it

Mind you, look at all the free publicity they've got by moving the date.

It has crossed my mind what the toy, book and computer game industries are going to do with all the stock that they must have already been getting ready for this Christmas - I doubt it will sell as well in July.

OH MY GOD I can't believe it, can't tell DH he'll be on all the HP sites finding out whats going on, that's my annual trip to the cinema gone, well appart from taking DD, but I mean my trip with DH
