Harry Potter crowds

If you check out the News section of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter there is a great new release and description for the new HP ride - sounds amazing! (I can't post links or images yet :sad2:

The US Express passes can be used on Dragon Challange (sorry - its not call tri wizard) formerly Duelling Dragons but not the new HP ride in Hogwarts Castle.

PS The Express Passes are also not available to us of Universal Studios new roller coaster - Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

Did they change the rule about one time per day for HP package and hotel guests? Please tell me no!

That's what I was thinking too
We heard that on site guests will be able to use their express pass
once per day for the Forbidden Journey

When I called to change my reservation to an AP rate this week, I was told that onsite guests would have FOTL access once per day for HPATFJ, but the reservations agent didn't know WHEN the express line would become available. It's possible the express line will not be running when HP opens in June or for awhile after that. She didn't know (or wouldn't say) when express was expected to be offered. Once the ride has express, onsite guests will have one ride per day. I don't know if that will be immediately, in a month, or in a year. The agent said she didn't know if express would be operational yet for our trip (which is in July).

I guess that whether or not we can use FOTL for FJ, at least we can get a jump on the crowds with early entry. I am sooooooo excited- we leave for FL exactly two months from today:cool1::yay:

My 9YO DD and I both love HP and yeah, I bet we're going to cry when we enter Hogsmeade for the first time. I can't wait to tell her to respect the spell limits and take her to the Three Broomsticks for some Butterbeer and Treacle Tart. :wizard:

Going on November 13, so hopefully the crowds will be light!

I'm hoping by November 6th, the crowds will have slowed down enough so we can at least get into HP. (not staying on site) I think this attraction will up attendance for a few years, maybe more. I predict HP fans from all over the world will make this a pilgrimage, especially if it gets rave reviews.
My 23 year old dd is the HP fanatic in our family. She cried when she heard what it was going to be like. Cried! She said she's dreamed of being there since the first book and now she can. She's normal in every other area of her life, but when it comes to this, she's kind of a nut. ;) Looking around the net on HP fan sites, she's certainly not alone.

so based on what I am reading A Harry poter is n IOA and B it is a rollor coster
Harry Potter is an Island in Islands of Adventure. IOA is made up of 6 Islands, soon to be 7 with the addition of Harry Potter.
Port of Entry
Marvel Super Hero Island
Toon Lagoon
Jurassic Park
The Lost Continent
Suess Landing
And soon to be The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Harry Potter's Island will consist of:
- Hogsmede Village - Shopps, restaurant and other experiences
- The Dragon Challenge - Two high speed roller coasters
- Flight of the Hippogriph (sp) - A family style roller coaster
- Hogwarts Castle - Inside Hogwarts castle will be a brand new ride called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Jouney - a type of new age simulation ride.

Where spending 4 days at US/Hard Rock Hotel and have hered from a another comment that It could take as long as a hour just to get Into the HP Island. Well we are going the second week In july and HP will be the frist thing we do everyday(right at rope drop) and dont think we will try again for that day.

Does this mean there will be a wait just to enter that area of the park?

There may be(pre June 18th) if they go through with this only letting hotel guests in. But I would imagine after the grand opening just like the other islands it will just be free to walk through at any time.

I wonder if you are not thinking of what someone had posted earlier about the line into the FJ. It was posted that it would take about an hour to get through the line and ride to see it in its entirety (did I spell that right?)

This might be what I read?:confused3,but I took It as not the Island ,but the ride it self:confused3 but i could of easly misread It:rotfl2:

I think this will up attendance at IOA for a long time. We, for example, don't really care that much for the IOA and Universal theme parks and aren't huge Harry Potter fans (but have read some of the books and have seen some of the movies) and will be planning to go to IOA one day on our week long Orlando trip next March, as we enjoy seeing new theming and Orlando attractions (We're just curious and looking forward to checking out the Forbidden Journey ride and seeing the HP theming). And I think there are lots of other people who will make similar decisions, people who normally wouldn't stop by IOA on an Orlando trip who will be going over because of Harry Potter. The opening of this influenced us to go to Orlando for spring break 2011 again (It doesn't take much to get me to go again though -- such a fun place to go with teen)

We are going for the first time and it's because of HP.....I have an question....is there early entry for resort guests? I was reading the comments on this thread and someone mentioned that....just trying to confirm.
