Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

No release date yet though. Thanks for the early Christmas present JKR!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Can't wait to tell DS. We are the Harry Potter fans! We have read each book together, I can't wait for this one! :cheer2:

Oops! Sorry, I did not see the other thread.

Anyway, there is a lot of speculation in the HP fan community of what this might mean...

The most popular theory is that "hallows" refers to consecrated objects - in the legends surrounding the Holy Grail there are objects referred to as hallows, and these include a sword, a staff, a cup, and a pentacle (locket).

And...oh look..two of those are already what we know to be horcruxes (the locket and the Hufflepuff cup).

So the "deathly hallows" would be the "deathly consecrated objects" - i.e. the horcrux.

And since book 7 is going to have to be about the search for and destruction of the horcruxes, it makes perfect sense.

Who thinks Harry and Harmoine (sp) will finally hook up in this one? :rotfl2:

They better not! Harry is much better suited with Ginny. Ron is the only one for Hermione!

Do you actually read the books? This issue has been addressed and resolved by both the book, and the author's repeated statements.

I am a H/G shipper, so I do not think Harry and Hermione will hook up. Whatever J K Rowling writes in the 7th book will be fine, as long as she does not kill Harry! Please save Harry!

She is so gonna kill Harry
While I have a sinking feeling she will kill him off, I think it will cause the same uproar (if not worse) that happened when Sherlock Holmes was killed. There will be ALOT of unhappy readers.

Dan Radcliff (Harry in the movies) has said many tiems he thinks harry will dielike Sherlock. I on the other hand...as fun as i think it would be do not see JK doing this as then "evil" still prevails in a way in the end and she has said before these books are about good prevailing.

I will truly be heartbroken if JKR decides to kill Harry in the final book, however, I try to remember that while these characters are a part of all of us who read the books and see the movies; they truly belong to JKR and if she thinks killing Harry is the way to go..well I guess so be it :( I'm wondering if she will decide to kill Harry to avoid constant badgering to keep writing the books :confused3

When people talk about JKR killing off Harry, I can't help but think of Stephen King's "Misery." :confused3 :rolleyes1

Isn't the book slated for a July release or is that the next movie?
