Do you think the Harry Potter play will come to Universal at some point? harrypottertheplay(dot)com

I doubt it. Unlike the Tales of Beedle the Bard which can be easily be summarized and told through a show which wouldn't take too much time and is a variety of stories, The Curse Child is going to be a full length play and performance, which would take quite some time for one.

Honestly, a lot of the shows just seem like filler to me, just something a little extra to get some guests attention as they go by, hence the fact that the performance areas do not really have any seating. And because it's filler and something a little extra to amuse the guests, but provide no seating, the performances do not take too long.

Therefore, if they brought the Curse Child, which I doubt, there would be a lot of interest even if it was a full length play, which would require actual seating and more elaborate stage more than likely. And there is simply no area that I can think of which can provide that. Except if they got rid of Fear Factor (which honestly is dated in the first place) and extended Diagon Alley a bit by getting it over there. Also, there is the fact that this is something people are purchasing to go see, or purchasing the book to read, which if they did a play at USF, it would kind of lose some money there in some way, or another.

Perhaps in the future if there is some way to summarize the story, or perhaps another way? But as for anytime soon, I do not think so unfortunately.

Good points. I was thinking though more of an evening thing like Blue Man Group or one of the other "real shows". I think the play is actually a 2-evening thing so you are right about it not being appropriate for an in-park day thing.

They would have to purchase the rights to the actual play and build (or refurb fear factor like I suggested before) a place where they can perform the play, which is going to be more money. Typically the rights for plays or musicals do not get available for other sources to perform until much more later.
