I am thinking of doing one of the fruit of the month clubs for my inlaws for Christmas. Right now they have 20% off and now delivery charge. Do you think that as Christmas gets closer they will have a better sale?

Im not sold on buying from H&D as I've never had their stuff, but all of you have high praise for them. They seem kinda high, which is why I want any discount I can get. Is there another fruit company out there that is good?

My experience with H&D was horrible last Christmastime. I ordered a couple of bags of coffee and they sent me the wrong ones. No big deal-I called them up and they were going to re-send them and let me keep the "wrong" coffee also. I received the wrong coffee AGAIN and called them again. They let me keep the second shipment and resent it. Never received the third shipment so I called them again to let them know that I didn't receive the 3rd order. Also, my card was charged for all 3 orders-2 were wrong and one I never received.

They tell me that the order was permanently out of stock (It was moose munch coffee-something they always carry) and they would take the charges off and send me a fruit basket for my trouble. I tried to say no but they insisted-all I really wanted was my original order. It took two more calls to get the charges taken off my credit card and when my mother recieved the free fruit-it was rotten pears. I would never do business online with them again-much less send anyone a gift from them.

Like the PP, I also suffered from H&D messing up orders. But I did find a great fruit company called Pittman & Davis.

MommaBear sends us a bushel of Grapefruit for the holiday's... and they are great. Just peal and eat, no sugar needed thanks!

They offer other foods and their customer service department is top notch! Might be something for OP to consider.

Thanks..........like I said, Im not sold on H&D, just know that alot here use it. I am willing to look at others too, so thanks for the suggestion. If you have any others, please let me know.
