I'm curious if anyone has taken a girl to the Harmony Barber shop in MK. I saw the pictures of little girls with glitter and stuff in their hair and I think my dd would enjoy it. I want to skip BB. It sounds awesome but we don't want to leave the parks! Also does the stuff wash out pretty easy?

Thanks!

I took my 3 girls and my dh there in Dec 05. My 1 yo didn't get a haircut but my 23 mo got her first haircut and they were AWESOME! she didn't even know she was getting a haircut. My oldest (7) got a bit more than a trim and had the pixie dust put in her hair. They just put in hairspray, then pixie dust then more hairspray so it all fell out/washed out really easily. My husband got his haircut also, no fun stuff for him but the guy in front of him got green gel in his hair painted like a Mickey. When we were there in Dec they weren't set up for room charges and their CC reader wasn't set up to swipe the cards yet. They still were doing it the old way where they make the carbon copy of the CC then you sign. We were told they *should* be set up for room charges and swiping CC's 'early in 06'.

how fun!!! i would love to do something like that for my 4 YO DD. i wonder what the chage would be just for some pixie dust & spray & glittler. i would love to see pics!

I'm not sure if I would get my hair cut but I would like to have the pixie dust...can you get the fun stuff without the hair cut and if so does anyone know how much? :confused3

I believe its $5 to have it styled and have the hair gel & pixi dust pixiedust: but I'm not completely sure.

We go the Barber shop every trip - each of our girls have had their first haircuts there. It is worth going to- last time, my baby got blue confetti in her hair! She loved it - It is relatively easy to wash out. The girls had their glitter in for about two days.
If you just want the glitter & colored gel, it is $5 otherwise you pay for the hairct which I think was $14.

I thought I had pictures of the pixie dust on my trip report website but I don't. I do have pictures of my dh, oldest and middle dd getting their haircut though. This link should take you to page 3, if not it's on page 3 about halfway down. I'll see if I remember my photobucket password to upload the pixie dust picture. ok, it won't let me post the link with my new member name becuase I haven't met the minimun # of posts. The main website is members dot cox dot net slash cskam

We did it as a complete haircut last month and last year for DD(age 5). This photo is from last year. They did one ponytail at the top of her head, fluffed it open, and put the hair gel and Pixie Dust all over the top. This year was similar, but with two fluffed open ponytails instead.

We had it done in the morning, which gave the Pixie Dust a chance to fall out a little before we washed it all out that night. (I didn't want to clog the drain with all those Mickey Heads!) Clean up took several shampoos and rinses, but nothing too bad.
