Boardwalk view followed by standard view. Regular preferred view is the easiest.

I would have thought that prefered view would be the most popular as it is prefered?? or is it that people dont think its worth the extra few points?

A little clarification. There are 3 room view categories: standard (mostly views of the front entrance), preferred boardwalk (facing the lake and directly above the boardwalk) and preferred (everything else, including views of the pool and canal). There are far fewer standard and preferred boardwalk rooms in the inventory which also affects availability. Standard views are lower points, about the same as the low points at OKW. This makes them very attractive for those who are trying to really stretch their points. And many of the standard view rooms also can see the Epcot fireworks. Preferred boardwalk view rooms and preferred view rooms cost the same in points, about the same as BCV and VWL rooms. Many people have commented that the preferred boardwalk view rooms offer some of the best views of all the Disney resorts and thus are worth the extra points. Preferred view (pool, etc.) may or may not be worth the extra points to some people.

You're making the assumption that the word preferred means you get more. For BW this is only true for the BW view. Initially there was only 1 view but people complained so they change so part were labled standard. Only in the last couple of years has the BW view been a separate category, previously it was a request. If you think of standard view as being a step down from "preferred" rather than preferred being a step up from standard, you'll be far closer to understanding the difference. The other issue that is true for timeshares in general is that view listings are more a general location than a promise of an actual view. If you assume you'll actually have a good view, even for ocean front, you may well be unpleasantly surprised.
