After the events of the last few days it is hard to put into words the feelings felt when seeing those pictures of our troops' interactions with the common Iraqi people. Those who were hiding behind a wall of fear. There is a long way to go but there is some light at the end of the tunnel. The Iraqi people just being able to sense the freedom to show a bit of gratitude for the troops and anger at the regime leaves me speechless. To those of you who have loved ones serving, you have to be so proud. Thank You.

The only thing I've seen quite like this was from footage of the Allied forces liberating Italy.

A different prespective...my father called me when it all came down. He was crying. Sobbing on the phone and could hardly talk. Said just enough to have me turn on the TV. For someone who lived a similar life, and was jailed for his beliefs....it was overwhelming for him. I cried...

Glo it sounds like your father has a very interesting - and painful - story. How beautiful that he was able to see this coverage.

Madcoco you've expressed some good sentiments.
