Wow- what a great story, I am so happy for Garrett's success!

I understand how hard it is for mom's too, this story has great timing for me as I am faced with our youngest( with multiple disabilities) going off on a field trip Tuesday. It has been such a hard decision for me, but Chase really wants to go- so am letting him! Now while I sit home worrying I can think of this happy story!

You are a good mom Kristy, and YES, it's VERY hard to let go of our children...and obviously much more difficult when they have problems communicating their needs!

I bet your son is proud of himself as well and how wonderful to find such an understanding family too, for him to play with.

It's so neat but SCARY *shiver* to watch our kids do new things, experience new adventures.

What a joy!
