Hard to get a 2bedroom at HH in mid May??

We are thinking of staying at Hilton Head DVC next May (mid to late in the month), in a two-bedroom for a sun-thur stay. Should I figure on it being hard to secure a reservation at the 7mnth window for a two-bedroom? This would be our first visit to the Hilton Head DVC resort.

Mid-May shouldn't be difficult. It's kind of a slower period between Spring breaks and the summer season (which begins at Memorial Day).

Another option:
I just made a cash ressie for a 2br next April 30th thru May 2nd.
The cash rates, although not guaranteed for 2005, so far appear to be very inexpensive. Our confirmation shows a rate of $165/night. MS said the member discount for 2004 brought the total for a 2br down to $120/night plus tax. The member rate for a GV for 2004 was quoted at $229 plus tax.

The best part is that I can book it now without having to wait for the 7 month window. If it is available at 7 months out, I can always book it using points instaed.

We are looking forward to trying HH!

Thanks, I will check into the cash cost! I was a bit worried being Dream season that it meant a busy time for the resort. I will keep my fingers crossed all works out. Any more info/opinions would be greatly appreciated!
