I am so excited that we just booked our trip for Feb. 1st time taking almost 3 year old. But why am I having such a hard time deciding where to book dinner ressies? Previous trips DH and I would eat like kings at all the sit down places. Now I am trying to find a balance of nice restaurants, but ones that a 3 year old would also enjoy. We are staying at WL and have the dining plan. I know we want to do Chef Mickey's, The teppanyaki place at Epcot, but that is it.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!

I would say Sci Fi Dine In in Hollywood Studios its like a drive in theater and you can eat decent food there. Also Coral Reef In EPCOT perfect entertainment watching the fish in the aquarium while you dine on what ever your heart desires. Those are the 2 I could think of off the top of my head Good Luck!!

When we took our son to his first Disney trip (he just turned 2), I was in the same vote as you. My husband and I love sit down meals but we were lucky my son would sit down for a long meal since he turned one as long as he has stuff to do in front of him (like coloring book and stickers). We made most of our dinning plan around the time we normally eat with him (there were a was 2 or 3 dinners that we had to rearrange due to naps...he took a longer one or a later one...those times we had room service). I would make ADR to alot of the character meals b/c they love them and also the ones you would enjoy...I made Narcoosee's and he did a great job b/c we sat next to the window and he saw the boats and then he saw the fireworks...he did such a great job and we all loved the food we went back the next night. Hope this helps. We are planning a trip on Feb to celebrate my son's 5th birthday but for now I need to plan our Dec trip. Have a magical trip.

I have a little girl that is almost three as well. Her last two trips she has really enjoyed Akershus, Biergarten, and 1900 Park Fare. Good luck deciding!

My kids are 3 and 5 and we are on a budget trip so we do quite a few buffets so I don't have to pay anything for the 3 year old to eat. Also most buffets have char's for kids and great adult and kids foods. we go in a month and here are our ressies:
Chef Mickey
Hollywood and Vine
Norway breakfast (aksh.. how ever you spell it)
crystal palace
teppen edo
Kona café
Hoop do review
1900 park fare

Since you are staying at WL I would suggest Whispering Canyon Cafe. It is wonderful. The wait staff do "antics" and interact with you, example my DH drinks a ton of pop while eating and the waitress was tired of refilling his glass so she brought him a gallon jar with a 3 ft straw! LOL :rotfl2:
They have pretty good food to, a bbq skillet that is all you can eat. It has pork, ribs and chicken on it. Personally I had the ribeye and loved it. We are going back as it is DH's favorite place to dine, he loves that skillet.
