Hard-sided expandable trailer?

Does anyone have a hybrid type trailer with the hard-sided bed slide outs? (Not tenting like a popup) If so, what brand and length? What do you like and dislike? Do they also come with sofa or dinette slides too? Thanks for the info.

IMHO I would just go for a TT and save myself all the trade ups. If you dont have too many people camping with you. We enjoyed our JAYCO JAY FEATHER Lgt 25F. Light weight, good plan, not too long.

We found that the weight of our Jayco Quest 29 footer was not too bad (5600 pounds dry weight, max weight of 7500) and could easily be towed with our truck.

We looked at quite a few hybrid trailers, but decided that our weekend trips would be more enjoyable with a regular TT and everything in it's place, ready to go and just pull into the site. We were really looking in the 26 foot size, but this one came along with 3 bunks that we needed for the 3 kids (and the price was cheaper than most we were looking at).

Well built trailer with no problems so far. Nice to cook a roast on a chilly spring/fall day, but nothing beats BBQ while camping! Can't wait, going to the Springfield MA RV and Outdoor show later this afternoon to feed the daydreams some more!

We like our KZ Coyote 23CT. It is a hybrid with 3 beds that fold out. The great thing is that the sleeping areas don't use up any floor space, and we can use all of the trailer with the beds up while travelling. We often will crash on the dinette/sofa beds on the way back home from the fort, or stop at a park for a quick lunch on the go. Another great feature of this design is that the kids each have their own "bedroom", great for moments when they need their own space, or when they are getting along, one is the play area and one is the sleeping area. The only thing we don't love about the hybrid is the set up. While we have a system now when we arrive I must admit the biggest pain is making the beds. It doesn't take too long to actually set up the beds, but the whole process takes a while. The other negative is the breakdown in the rain. Yes, if the canvas is wet, we have to open up at home.

Here's a link to a similar trailer to ours if you're interested:

well we borrowed my fathers camper for our first trip to the fort and the following year we bought our own. He wanted 4 bunks in the front (putting the table and coutch up and down get old) for the kids and a bed for the wife and I. We looked at the outback (krs26?) and we both liked it allot but them i found our 2004 roo 26rs used and the price was great so we bought it. We used it a few time last year and love it. here are the pics from the dealer

I hope this helps, there are lots of campers out there you will find the right one for you.:cool1:
